Sure, but it goes both ways. Trump is only 3 years younger, why isnt this an issue for him too? He is far from a picture of health.
I think it’s because the decline hasn’t quite hit him yet. Once it starts it’s fast and brutal. I do agree though that the issue should be just as acute against both of them, and it is pathetic that these are the two people the American public has to choose between and the world has to deal with.

Read a few people talking about McConnell freezing and said it probably wasn't a seizure.. if it was then the people around him probably would have reacted differently.
That they didn't seem surprised by it or alarmed by it (i.e. calling an ambulance, rushing to a doctor for a stroke) means it could be a known condition. They said that kind of thing can happen with Parkinson’s. I don't know about the symptom but the point about their reactions makes sense.
What drives someone to the point where they'd subject themselves to that kind of public episode?? What's the benefit? So strange.
It could be a Parkinson's episode of freezing, but usually that only happens when someone tries to initiate a new movement or transitions to movement.
It also could easily be a Petit Mal seizure, AKA an absence seizure. It would fit most criteria for that.
Either way, I think the idea here is that he's not well and probably should relinquish his seat by next election. It's Kentucky, they're going to elect a Republican no matter what.

It looks to me that he may have had a transient ischemic attack (TIA) or mini stroke. It becomes more common with age.

If it's happened twice on camera in the past couple of months, you have to wonder how often those episodes happen when he isn't in front of the camera. It's unsettling and pretty sad to see.

There are few totally benign causes and Parkinson's is quite unlikely to be that far gone that quickly to have that type of cognitive issue with no other symptoms (altered gait, tremor, flat affect, etc). If looking at medical history he recently had a serious fall. If you were to tell me that your grandfather was having these episodes with his medical history I'd be seriously concerned about transient ischemic episodes. He should not be in charge of making any serious decisions at this point. It's dangerous for the US and he himself is in real danger. I don't think they aren't reacting differently because it's a benign causes, it's because either McConnell himself or those around him don't want him removed from power.
Diane Feinstein and Mitch McConnell should all not be Senators strictly because of inability to do their job. It's Weekend at Bernie's because their handlers have agendas they want to affect. It's gross

On the one hand I hope Moscow Mitch dies soon. He has been a blight on the entire planet and has actively made life worse for millions, possibly billions, of people. On the other hand, what the current iteration of the GOP has shown us is that when one of the 'establishment' Republicans is replaced, it's usually by someone even worse. It's like a stupid, corrupt version of the Hydra.

Kentucky has a Dem Governor currently so would potentially appoint a Dem as a McConnell replacement. Apparently Kentucky passed a law recently that says a Senator replacement has to be from the same party, but the Dem Gov may want to challenge that law or ignore it and let them take him to court over it.
Election for Kentucky Gov is later this year and sworn in in Dec, so maybe they're just trying to get McConnell to last until then.. which is just as gross.

A leader of the Proud Boys who led the far-right organization’s infamous march to the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison – among the longest sentence handed down yet for a convicted rioter.
The best part about the Proud Boys sentencing is that some of these guys literally thought you can just say and do anything in this world and get away with it. Too many people who are being radicalized by disinformation think they have unlimited rights to do absolutely anything that comes to their mind and impose it on society, consequences be damned. Biggs says he was "seduced by the mob".
And the hubris it takes to say in your defense “I wanted to see what would happen."

Trump files a motion to sever his RICO trial from the others, saying that he doesn't have enough time to prepare a defence by Oct 23 (the trial date for Chesebro who has requested a speedy trial).

A good friend believes the stupidest people in the world are Americans. It’s hard to argue.
For example, Trump supporters are saying that Dems have destroyed hundreds of thousands of pages from the J6 committee. It’s not true as all of those documents are available online but if Trump says it they believe it. Another is Trump calls Biden and Jack Smith deranged and having lost their mental faculties. Of course it’s lies but they believe. Don’t even get me started on those who believe RFK Jr. will rise from the dead to be Trump’s running mate.
Maybe my friend is right. Edit: JFK JR., not RFK Jr.
RFK Jr. is still alive (unfortunately) - I assume you mean JFK Jr.?
It's no more or less crazy than most QAnon nonsense.
