The First Omen was pretty good. It's a prequel to the original and creepy as hell, especially Charles Dance and Bill Nighy.

I didn't like it. I don't recommend it.

I was wondering wtf happened, and then read that I was one of those people easily bamboozled. Peele was just a producer, and the Director / Script guy was some no-name.

So be warned - it's a bad pseudo thriller vaguely football related. Third act totally flops in it's attempt to pay off the building tension. There isn't really any football to be had in the film, it's more of a "young guy on a famous guy's compound filled with weirdos and occasional sadism".

It's also a very visually dark movie - so watch it at night if you ignore me and decide to take a run at it.
I'm obligated to see it because Jim Jefferies is a part of the cast.

I Like Me wasn't a stellar biographical documentary by any stretch, but it was nice to spend time with John Candy again.

I totally agree. Love peele. This is the only movie I’ve walked out of. No idea how it finishes and don’t care. Terrible movie and I can handle some bad stuff.

Have you seen When Evil Lurks from the same director?

It's super bleak but great.

Watched the entire series recently and went down the rabbit hole for a bit with it. The ending was kind of underwhelming, but overall pretty good series.

I'm a fan, but he plays it straight. So he's wasted.

The '85 Fright Night is so good.

Equal parts classic horror film and '80s 'this is 100% cool as ####' fun--and maybe my favourite vampire flick of all time (definitely in the top three.)

At the minimum, Chris Sarandon gives my favourite vampire performance. Cool, confident, sexy, and scary, he pulls it off convincingly with ease, and brings a ton of charisma and presence to the role. Add in some excellent performances and some really killer gore effects, and you have a classic.
