Just what fans want to do. Instead of being in south florida or Arizona or hell even Dallas lets freeze our butts off in New Jersey.... Maybe that chick that got punched can show up for entertainment.

Well the good news is that it's the Super Bowl, so regular fans aren't there anyways. There will be hundreds of thousands of people looking to get their hands on tickets to this game. Heck, there are probably 100+ people in my office who will almost certainly be looking for tickets.

Listening to 124 just now, I heard regular caller Bam Bam comment on what he heard Bill Romanowski say at some sort of event recently. Romo was asked who he thought was the better player, TG or Shanon Sharpe. Since Romo had to cover TG playing for the Broncos and Raiders as well as playing against Sharpe in Practice he should have better insight than almost anybody. He credited Sharpe, but said hands down TG was the better player. Faster, Stronger, better hands, as well as a better blocker according to him.

Better blocker, yes. The others? No way. To intimate that it isn't even close is just more confirmation that Bill Romanowski is a joke.

Good piece in the NY Post about former NY Giant Jack Lummus who was killed at Iwo Jima and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/more_...zh916EKn5bSiBK

Quote:
On March 8, Lummus, commanding a rifle platoon, had already been wounded in a shoulder and twice been knocked flat by grenade concussions when he rose to lead three successful assaults on entrenched positions. Pressing a fourth assault, a land mine blew off his legs; he was mortally wounded. Yet, he continued to command his men.

Quote:
Lummus’s commanding officer wrote this to his mother: “Jack suffered very little for he didn’t live long. I saw Jack soon after he was hit. With calmness, serenity and complacency, Jack said, ‘The New York Giants have lost a good man.’ We all lost a good man.”

He didn't say it wasn't even close. Just said that TG was better.

Raiders file grievance against JaMarcus Russell for $9.55M.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...html?eref=sihp

No word on the grounds, but I'm sure it has something to do with the Palms Resort and cheeseburgers.

Reports are Seahawks are waiving LenDale White today. There was a press release on the official site, then it got taken down. Now local media outlets are stating he is being waived.

I have to say I am stunned by this, I think most Seahawks fans were extremely excited to see him play, he was saying all the right things, his weight was down, he seemed to be doing all the right things etc.

I am very interested in hearing the reasoning behind this. This basically takes our running corps back to what it was last year as Washington is still recovering.

The Seahawks just released LenDale White saying he was "not ready to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks."
As per a Rich Eisen tweet.

Sorry I had misinformation, apparently the Seahawks knew about the impending suspension

Really weak secondary just got weaker. We're going to get torched this year.

That's the reason we did not bring him back. He is an accident waiting to happen. He made one of the biggest plays in Colts history and was a good player when he played, but he barely played.

Ya, that's why you didn't bring him back, because you knew he'd rupture his Achillies!!
This coming from the team with the human band-aid making, what, about $5 million a year?

What the heck is with the first comment?? I didn't say I knew he would rupture his Achilles. It was likely though that he would get injured as he has had a bad case of getting injured. It's really not that difficult to understand.

Marlin Jackson is a solid player when he plays but everyone (including Eagles fans) knew that with him comes the injury situation. Jackson always seems to be injured whether it be a freak accident or during a game.

And yeah Bob Sanders is always injured but what does that have anything to do with Jackson's situation?

Broncos cut QB Tom Brandstater the other day. The Colts picked him up today. He's a solid project QB.

Brandstater sporting the "Bradshaw" haircut was great! My broncos pals are sad to see him go.
