This is almost what I love about not really having a favorite team in the NFL right now. I find with hockey I let being a Flames fan get in the way of a true pick. I always want to bet the Flames to win and VAN/COL/MIN/EDM to lose. Of course life never works like that...

It finally happens! Last split-second T.O. called to freeze the kicker when he's already kicked. Bironas misses the initial 56-yarder that turns out to be nullified anyways, and then connects on the 2nd attempt. How fitting it turned out to burn Shanahan of all people, considering he started this fad.

Not that I have a problem with the move, I was one of the ones that was fine with it. I just knew it was a big topic on here for awhile(too long IMO) so I thought it was worth bringing up. You knew it had to happen eventually...

You know I really haven't decided if I like this rule or not...it makes things pretty interesting at the end of a game but on the other hand I think it looks bad for the NFL. I think they will change the rule next year....hopefully it decides the SB

The whistle may have distracted him on the first kick though

Yikes! Denver looks worn down right now, they need to get the defence off the feild and keep them off for a few first downs.

Yeah I was considering that as well, as it was a pretty bad schank. Meh, still worth mentioning...

ya he kicked the ball too high up on the ball and a little to the inside, ie a right footed kicker kicking the left side of the ball.

That can happen when the kicker stands up a bit ... which would be a reaction to the whistle ... but who knows.

now that guy deserves to be heckled. My sis still proudly wears her gold SF jacket.

Very satisfying win tonight. I heard a lot of Vince Young negativity this week on the radio. Hogwash. He's great. Had several dropped balls tonight that didn't help his cause.

Denver's D played well. Brandon Marshall is a monster. He's going to be a star. That pump fake on the end around? Pure brilliance!

Going to be an interesting last 6 games!

Yeah, with that win the Bronco's have given themselves a shot at the division. Hard to make out what exactly the Bronco's are. For the first 8 games of the season one could have argued that they were luckey to be 3-5 and could easily be a 1-7 team. But on the flip side if you look at the schedule they've played so far the only sub 500 teams they've played are Oakland and Kansas City, and the KC game was in Arrowhead. So really to be 5-5 and have some of their easier games left on the schedule...maybe they do have a shot at the AFC West.

Well prior to this game he had the second lowest QB rating of any starting QB, had 4 TD's and 10 INT's, his team seemed to win just as easily with Kerry Collins as it QB as with him (which is no surprise since they win in spite of Vince not because of him) and he did not having the "amazing" runs that made people ignore his awful passing stats that were there last season.

The past two games he has put up plenty of yards but has two loses. If he got a pass for his crappy stats when they were winning because of defense and special teams not sure he should also get a pass on the losses when he puts up big yards but still shows he can't read defenses.

Bronco's played a fantastic game. Titans O played a lot better this week than in previous weeks and it was fun while it lasted but it looks like the D has been brought back down to earth.

When Brady drops back right now he looks so confident. I don't think I've ever seen a QB drop back with the confidence that Brady has right now. He's always been a confident and cool cookie back there. But right now he knows he's going to get time to throw the ball and that he has playmakers who can break every play for a touch down. John Madden said he makes the position look easy. Watching him on Sunday, I can't disagree, he was making it look rediculously easy. It's like he's playing Madden and has the game set to super easy mode right now.

Well the way to attack Young these days according to the experts is make him pass the ball. So he fires off mucho yards passing and the result -- they lose. There are of course are factors in the game not the least of which was the play of Denver. But I would say the book on Young hasn't changed!!!

Not if Chris Collinsworth got his hands on him first.

Brady has been playing hands down amazing, but something that goes with statistics is how great his offensive line has been. The best offensive line in football and a huge factor in his sucsess

You know what the worst thing is (or best if you're a Pats fan)? Even if the Pats win it all and go 19-0, they're still going to end up with a top 5 draft pick.
