This week was a pretty bad slate of games. In the early window the dogs were pretty good. But the chalk dominated the late games. Seems fitting for a week where Trump would decide to show up at a game.

Why wait? Why go this far into a season? Was the goal to get a quarterback killed on the field? Is he being fired for failing?

Well they never should have brought him back, of course, but yeah protecting Dart and maybe forcing Jameis into playing instead of Russ might be the driver on this. Giants will be a good sleeper bet next year for playoffs, they really should be 6-4 right now but have blown four leads of 10+ on the road, including two with less than five minutes left. Team has a decent base to work with.

I guess with no bye until week 14, they decided to can him now. Wonder if the fact that he got fined for essentially going into the tent on that one Thursday night and appearing to argue with Doctors, than to have the same Rookie QB leave a game a few weeks later is something the Giants figured they best handle now before Dart ends up getting a stake in the team from the Mara's. We saw the Vikings basically kill Carson Wentz in a Thursday game to protect McCarthy. Like you say the Giants have a couple of guys they could sacrifice if needed.
If they don't kill Dart, and Nabors can come back, plus Skattebo, there are some pieces for a what could be a functional offence. The defence shouldn't be as bad as it is, so maybe this change get's them to play a bit better. So they might repeart the cycle all over where the new guy who takes over has a good first season...only to see it unravel after that.

Well it's been a terrible week of primetime games, this is thr MNF game of the year so hopefully it at least is watchable.
