True but mixed doubles doesn't exist on tour, just at grand slams so it's kind of doubles specialists (like Dabrowski) thrown together anyways.
I also forgot to mention, they've upped the money from 200K to 1M for the winners. Could there be doubles specialists in the 8 wildcard entries? Could retired people come back? Who knows!

I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed in Naomi Osaka partnering up with Kyrgios. There's no need to try to platform or make this clown relevant in the tennis world. Surely she could have selected someone else to play mixed doubles or turned down his offer if she was approached by him.

He's certainly not universally liked but Nick does have some friends on the tour.

I don't mind players that have/had personalities that were at times controversial but Nick's just not a good guy. I just wish he would go away.

The BBC told him to get stuffed as far as Wimbledon tv coverage is concerned this year.

You may get your wish soon. He's got his money, I can't see him sticking it out much longer.

Oikos abandoned his Wilson Blade for a Pure Aero 98, won a tournament and for unknown reason switched back to his Blade. He just lost in straight sets to American Alex Michelsen in Halle.

Leylah has put together back-to-back wins at the Nottingham Open and is into the quarter-finals following a 6-3 6-4 win over Cristina Bucsa. She gets Yastremska next.

Tough day on the grass for Felix, Shapo, and Gabriel as they all lost their matches to Khachanov, Cobolli, and Lehecka respectively. Shapo lost in a third set tie-break which is extremely tough to take. Felix and Shapo are still alive in doubles though at the Halle tourney.

Lost to quality opponents but it would have been nice for one of them to go a little deeper.

Shapo has to be kicking himself, he did serve for the match at 5-4 in set 3, need to be able to close those matches out. That said, Cobolli is a very good young player, Italy continues to churn out players.

Leylah lost to Yastremska in straight sets earlier today, but she did make it interesting in set 2 taking it to a tie-break (broke Yastremska serving for the match at 5-4). The fighting spirit is returning which is good to see.
