Toffoli is on Spittin Chiclets soon. Just saw the ad for it. Curious to hear what he has to say about his time with the Flames

What is the political garbage here? It's a legitimate question. The leader of Belarus has threatened to invade ####in' Poland within the last month. It's a legitimate question whether or not there is potentially issue with players returning to NA from potential war time enemies.

Further to the point, the US embassy advised that us citizens depart Belarus immediately 8 hours ago. I hope sharangovich is coming to Canada asap.

There is political repercussions all over the place in the NHL. Get your head out of the sand. You think Michkov goes 7th overall if he isn't Russian or Belarusian?

Also didn't the President of Belarus agree to house Russian nukes in their country a few weeks ago?

And where does the USA house all their nukes? Who has bombed more countries in the last 50 years?

Sure the US is a piece of kyit 3rd world country, but did they invade us? Did they invade Mexico lately? Because if they did I would also be very concerned about Coronato and Hanifin

Most of the time it wasn't even 0-0 after this first shot.

Tyler best be super buds with Marky. Most of the time we were down 1 or 2 goals after 5 mins.

If anything the players should have been pissed he wasn't pulled earlier or that Darth get the start to begin with.

I bet most of us would've been saying the same or putting Vladar in despite a 0-goal-against first period for Marky 90% of the time last season lol guy is almost the sole reason for the organizational explosion that's happened since the Edmonton series.

Only thing unfortunate about that quote is that Sutter never followed through with it at any point. Would've had the Flames in the Playoffs.

If there was ever a "this player owes this team something", it'd definitely be that Markstrom owes the organization and the fanbase a stellar season complete without the chokejob of the decade against their biggest rivals.

1st year = sucks. Biggest reason the Flames missed the Playoffs after Sutter's return. Flames finished the season playing dominant Darryl Sutter hockey but fell victim to Marky's struggles.

2nd year = absolutely incredible. Earns his contract (and then some) throughout the regular season, puts up a stellar 1st round in a brilliant goaltending duel only for Edmonton to come along, climb inside his head and #### him up, having never been the same since.

3rd year = just.. wtf Markstrom.

Hoping he's either figured out how to get his head outta his backend or the Flames go straight to Wolf if Markstrom shows signs of struggling early.

Maybe Markstrom has Bobrovsky syndrome and does the vezina / waiver / vezina / waiver type seasons.

Hopefully there isn't an all-time playoff choke job attached to the next "Vezina" season.

Trading for Tyler Toffoli. It may be a lot to ask for the 31-year-old winger to replicate the career-high 34 goals and 73 points he recorded last season, but he still has lots left in the tank and also doubles as a respected veteran with championship pedigree for a young team with Stanley Cup aspirations. Surrendering a third-round pick and Yegor Sharangovich - who was a healthy scratch at times in the playoffs - was a strangely light price to pay.

You know this is BS, because the last thing Sutter would do is put Vladar in lol.

None of that means what Sutter did to handle it was appropriate. In fact it was idiotic if true.

Personally I'm not reading anything into that Toffoli quote.

Just using it to go off on a rant about Marky.

Sutter stuck with markstrom down the stretch run. I’m guessing like always there’s probably two sides to the story.

Don’t understand the point of airing dirty laundry.

If he still has PTSD I’d stick with Vladar over him.

Markstrom is a mental midget. Was on his way to be a bust before the Canucks got him a psychologist. Had a couple decent seasons but nobody trusted him. He wet his pants every time he sees McDrai.
