-15 at the house when I left, I decided to tough it out with long johns and my bike pants instead of the snow pants.

It is going to suck. I have a ski day planned for Sunday at Lake Louise and the -20 high is not good. At least the hill should be relatively empty.

Why don't you, like, go tonight and tomorrow and do the rest online? Plus, it shouldn't take a week unless you're literally Santa. I feel like this isn't a problem lol.

Guarantees we can't even escape the apartment for fun downtown walks & sightseeing, and will just be on top of each other the entire time.

My week will be sponsored by occasional quick little stealth toots on the jazz cabbage flute in my room so I stay sane and don't snap on them. Or should I say the air mattress in the living room, since my parents have already informed me they're taking my room.
"Merry Christmas Mum & Dad. I thought I'd treat you to a week at (insert moderately priced hotel here)."

Seriously though, even though your motivation to go out will be low, popping in and out of stores and restaurants isn't too bad. The +15s, despite their shortcomings, are great for times like this, and you can spend a bit of time in the Core shopping area, etc. Not ideal, but your sanity might depend on it.

Edit: Saw your stealth nm edit, but leaving the quote purely because of "jazz cabbage flute".

Haha I appreciate you saving it for posterity, and yeah that's a good point about popping into stores. Don't worry, I'm still gonna be hitting the flute like I'm warping worlds in Mario 3. Love them but it's still very much needed...without it, I eventually get to the point where I snap on em, then beat myself up about it for days after. It's just survival

I dont get the hate for Christmas as much as any other holiday.

I mean, I dont 'love' Christmas, but I cant say that I really 'love' any holiday.

But Christmas can be nice. The biggest issue is how BIG its become which makes it a lot of work.

I do more work on Christmas 'holiday' than anytime else.

Unfortunately technology has not progressed to a point where we can predict changes to the weather, nor have scientists been able to develop any way to communicate this info to the people even if they could predict it. All we know is that at some point in the future, it will get colder. Much colder.

Saturday won't be horrible, mostly -16 to -18. Sunday starts to get cold in the -22 range and then Monday is when all hell breaks loose. You'll wake up to about -28.

Walking the dog this morning is.....not so glorious.

Not absolutely hideous when there is no wind, but by and large during the whole walk, that wind makes things....nasty. Brr.
