I have two opinions on this topic. Yes it's unfair you lose your seed by getting pregnant and I also think it isn't fair to take a seed way from somebody who worked hard and earned it through good results.

I have a third opinion. It would really suck to have worked so hard to get a top-ranked seed and then have to play an unranked Serena Williams in the first round.

It's tough, there is a protected ranking to get into tournaments but not for seeding. I think tennis tries it's best to come up with a compromise.

Milos is also playing in Madrid and dispatched Nik Kicker of Argentina 6-3 6-2. Next up is Grigor Dimitrov.

A win by Milos this morning, would book a date with Shapo in the round of 16!
Will be keeping a close eye on Novak this event. Something has me thinking he's finally starting to turn the corner.

If Shapo makes the QFs hre his live ranking would move up to 33 on the cusp of being seeded for Roland Garros.

That's a great win by Denis over Paire earlier today - Milos has his hands full with Dimitrov and that match is about an hour away.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the clay courts and it doesn't look good for Milos and Grigor to play their match today.

Milos and Grigor are going to a 3rd and deciding set - Milos won the opening set 7-5, Grigor just took set 2 by a 6-3 score. Milos serving to start the 3rd set.

Yes ma'am - From what I was able to watch (most of the 3rd set), Milos appeared to be moving quite well (appears to be over the knee injury). It should be a interesting match against Denis.

Kyle Edmund with a big win over Joker earlier in Madrid (6-3 2-6 6-3). The winner of Edmund and David Goffin will face the winner of Milos and Shapo in the quarter-finals.

Yes, I did not notice any signs of injury at all either as he was moving well, attacking the net consistently. This is really a massive win on clay with Dmitrov having a monster year despite not having any titles to date.
I don't like Shapo's chances against Raonic tomorrow, as he hasn't looked like he has been confident in his game for a few weeks now. Raonic, on the other hand, appears ready to make another serious run at Wimbledon again this year and may even make some considerable noise before that time if he keeps this up.
