I'm gonna sort of defend Cam first, before I trash him. But we accept some players and coaches being prickly with the media, generally because the media can be awful. In this case it kind of was a dumb question, or a question that would generally provoke a boring, athlete-speak answer. Belichick of course is one of the kings of dismissive, borderline #######-ish answers. But he's consistent about it, so it's basically just his thing at this point. Popovich is similar in the NBA, and if anything he's even more of a prick about it than Belichick is. But he's always been that way, and of course he's one of the greatest sports coaches ever, so it's cool.
Now, onto trashing Cam, because we know how he is, and that's what's annoying about him. When things are going good for him, he's one of the most arrogant front runners we've seen, sports or otherwise. Meaningless first quarter 5-yard run for a first down? Yeah he's celebrating that. Superman stupidity all the time, and after the game we get over the top self-promotion in the media. But when things are not going good for him, we know he's about as big a sulker as we've seen, sports or otherwise. So maybe if he handled himself better overall, moments like this would be afterthoughts. But when you're him, and you act as he does, you just gotta let #### like this go. Instead, he sulks. Just not emotionally mature enough for the spotlight.
