I consider myself to be a Bluejays fan (try and watch as many games as possible), however I have only started watching baseball a season ago. I am relying on CP to tell me how I should feel about this trade.

need more info on who else is going to Colorado.

This is a massive upgrade on Reyes though because he's an even better hitter and can play defense. Best SS in baseball.

Jamie Moyer not available? Hawkins is 42!

Head scratcher here (at least timing wise) for swapping out Reyes unless it sets up another move to get pitching.

Removing another Dominican from the room, after Cabrerra last year, and of course Sierra, Rogers as well.

Interesting: tulo traded means his contract is now no trade clause in it, plus he gets $2 million. As per Rosenthal.

I wonder if this means AA is dealing another of the big bats for pitching? Otherwise im not sure why he would make this type of deal...though I haven't heard all the details either.

ESPN did a top 25 players poll of all their baseball guys before the season

Tulo was 13th

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12...top-25-players

they could give up top prospects and it's a win

Tulo contract status: 2016-20, owed $96M
Reyes contract status: 2016-18, owed $48M

And Donaldson 25th. How do you trade for 2 players under team control AND 30 or younger in 1 year both ranked in the top 25

My thought too. I always thought the Padres could be a good fit - Shields + Upton for Bautista +?

With Lawrie and Reyes already gone, moving Bautistia would be my trifecta.

he still needs to move for a SP but turning Lawrie, Reyes,, Gravemen and Barretto in to the best left side of the infield in Baseball

arguably the best 3B in the league right now, and a top 2 or 3 SS

I think Travis is going to turn into an amazing 2B. He's already pretty dang good for a rook
