I thought that was a great trade at the time.
At the deadline that year for forwards, Forsberg was the big fish. For D, it was Stuart. Sutter landed the "big fish" without giving up a 1st or a blue chip prospect. And about a month before the deadline.
Seemed to wreck the team chemistry according to Warriner. I thought that Ferrence and Kobasew was a small price to pay for that package at the time though.
Looking at that list, I think that Murzyn for Stern may have been the only good move Risebrough made.

Stewart's shown he can put up points in the NHL. Even as a 3rd or 4th line role (slide into Glencross' spot?), I'd rather him in the lineup for the rest of the season than Wolf at this point.

Obviously he's going for more than a 5th, we need goal scoring right now and that is exactly what Stewart can bring. He can finish.
With that said, I hope we steer clear, because I think he'll go for more than he's worth.

We still need size regardless. If Murray would accept a 2016 4th I'd pull the trigger. If Stewart doesn't work out, then we only had to see him for 20 games and maybe playoffs.
