Topic taken from the GMG thread:

Backyard fire pits, I've wondered how these go over with the neighbors. They're nice to have, I'm sure, but what about the house downwind that has to close their windows due to the smoke/noise, etc.?

As long as its not a daily occurrence, it isnt a big deal. I personally like the smell of wood burning, so I wouldnt complain wither way.. but if people are burning anything other than wood it would annoy me. The fires I have seen around here have been pretty clean burning. Except for the flame, I wouldnt even know that they had a fire going.

Can you take an electric toothbrush in carry on for a flight? If you take the brush off you have a metal piece about five cm long. It's not sharp but you could stab someone, I suppose. Maybe someone here has traveled with one.

Stupid Store has this, haven't used it in years, but seems to me it was any easy/not bad tasting cheat.

It's fine if it's clean burning wood, but I swear our neighbors soak their wood in piss for a few days before having a fire. It just stinks so damn badly.

Yeah, but you'll probably want to get the KY ready...

Everything except Baconnaise.I bought a jar of this stuff because I thought it would be awesome (how could it not be?) but it's actually really gross. It's super artificial tasting, almost like they add fake liquid smoke to it or something.

If you mean the one on the east side, with the white fence, I believe it is a private residence.
