The colours are fine but it lacks any imagination and the logo is boring.

What? There's lots around the dome on game days.
Also keep in mind it's competing largely with a jersey that's been around for what, 7 more years, and is far more counterfeited.
I know there's a lot of hate for the 3rd jerseys (for the record I don't like the script at all but I don't outright hate them for a 3rd), but I don't think they're as hated by the casual fan nearly as much as they are by the CP collective.

That's because the casual fan is dumb and all of us are pretty great people with fabulous taste.

I didn't realize people disliked our current jerseys so much. I actually quite like our home and away jerseys, they are some of the best IMO. Not a fan of the thirds though!

The colours are great, but the current design, piping, and the flags look awful.

The third is close to being a good jersey. If they rounded the shoulders instead of the stupid yolk, and put the C on it, and made a white version that would be a huge improvement. Keep the round shoulder logo as well.

Really? I actually see quite a few people wearing them around.

Yeah I'd say about a 1/3 of the Dome is wearing them each game day.

Why not a red flaming C on the red jersey?
The Blues make it work.

If you'll notice, the Blues use a royal blue crest on white and a navy crest on royal blue. That's how they "make it work."
I don't think we want to introduce a second shade of red into the colour palette.

I've tried doing dark red-on-lighter red mock-ups in the past, and for some reason, they just don't work well together.

I think the 3rd Jersey is quite a bit cheaper than the home jersey, which contributes to more people wearing it. You could get it at Wal-Mart for a while.

Everytime I see the Blues I remind myself that I want to see how this works. It would be a new generation of Flaming C for the Flames, but a new red to the palette could be kind of cool.
Our red, a burnt red and yellow would be a pretty vibrant palette

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. The C should be white, outlined like the numbers on the back too.

Not I. Maybe it depends where you are. For the record I don't hate them but if not for this thread I wouldn't have known that anyone likes them as the circle of fans I hang with don't like them and like I say I rarely see people wearing them when I am at the dome or anywhere in the city. I don't think they are ugly but I just feel they could be better.

I've always thought the Flames could do a cool third jersey with a more burgundy shade of red along with white and gold, with a gold flaming "C". Think Boston College colours:
As for the regular kit, just bring back the retros already.

I can't wait for us to be rid of piping. That will be a glorious day
|
I actually like the thought behind the piping.
I don't like the cut of the new jerseys that look like untucked dress shirts, when you have a solid color below a horizontal stripe that doesn't match the pants, and it just looks off. That is why teams like the Leafs and Wings didn't look weird when the cut changed.
