It's nice to see Nintendo really bringing their 'A' game with GOTY-level installments for both Mario and Zelda this year. Very encouraging for the Switch in general. Can't wait to play all weekend!

Nothing for me yet, but I'm sure it'll happen soon. I kind of figured that I wouldn't have it this weekend when I ordered from Wal-Mart, but saving $30 seemed more appealing at the time. My wife was even saying "we can play Mario this weekend!" and I had to let her down softly.
But $30 can buy a bit of wine, so there's my silver lining.

Nintendo is killing it this year. $50 Mario is awesome.

How many brownie points do you need from the wife? You could drive around, buy it in person on Friday, return the other copy when it arrives . . .

We do have an unusually light schedule on Saturday... It should be easily available at Wal-Marts around town tomorrow I would imagine. Is that a fairly safe assumption?

Yeah my guess is there will be a ton of stock.
Nintendo seems to be loading up on Switch stock in advance of this too since a ton of stores seem to have inventory right now.
Got my Wal-Mart Canada Post tracking for the 31st but for sure am going to just buy it at Wal-Mart tomorrow and then return the other copy when it comes.

Given my shipping notice hasn't even updated to "in transit" yet, That's pretty much exactly what I'm doing.

Got an email from Amazon that says I won't be getting my copy until Nov 1 - Nov 3. Which is fine. I don't even have a Switch yet, as I was originally waiting until Xenoblade Chronicles 2 came out, but the new Mario game is just too tempting not to get.

Guess not they charged me 83.99 which definitely seems shady. Probably not worth making a fuss about it though

Mario was in development since 2013 and Zelda even longer than that...hopefully they can keep the quality but speed up the process.

I have it pre-loaded and I'm just waiting until 10pm MDT for it to unlock. Can't wait.

I played an hour of Mario before bed last night and so far I can say it lives up to the hype, Its Mario 64 with awesome controls and a bunch of new mechanics. If I had one complaint its that it seems too easy right now but that might change. I spent most of that time just in the starting zone which isn't even a real level just finding coins. I found 155 in Cappytown.

I got my notice late last night, with an ETA of Wednesday. Honestly thinking of trying Wal-Mart out on the way home and doing the 'ol switcheroo when my pre-order copy arrives.
I will still save $30 eventually and can play this weekend. But voluntarily going to Wal-Mart twice in the span of the week takes a little of the shine off of it.
I know that Amazon wasn't doing release day delivery for the first few titles on Switch, but when FIFA 18 came out late last month, it was delivered to me on release day. I was hoping that Wal-Mart would have sorted that out for this one. Ah well - live and learn.

I was going to bring my Switch to work and play during lunch, but I don't have a nice case for it so decided to wait. I chose wrong, the game is sitting in my car waiting for me.

I was going to bring mine also but decided against it, turns out I have to stay late at work for no reason but to be here for deliveries so I could have played. So mad right now lol

I'm on the fence, is the switch worth buying now? I'm really jonesing for a good Mario game after playing Super Mario World over the weekend.

I'd say yes. I think the only deals until next summer are going to be bundles, so waiting isn't going to help much.

Depends on your gaming interests. If you like Mario and Zelda, then yes. If you're not a Zelda fan, then depends on if you like games like Mario Kart or Splatoon. There are some good indies and spin-offs like Mario + Rabbids and Fire Emblem Warriors as well, but those are the four games that currently drive the console.
