The UN aid counts are wrong. I thinks we can all agree on that?

The UN uses their counts of aid to determine if there is a famine, and uses their numbers to predict famine as well. Their numbers, and hence their predictions are wrong.

It’s misinformation, and should be called out.

The UN does not count air drops as aid entering Gaza. I’m not denying that they are less effective and more expensive than trucks, but I imagine that they were required in certain circumstances.

The whole point is that UN does not count all aid entering Gaza.

The whole point I was trying to make is that the UN did not count all the aid that was entering Gaza. They based all their forecasts and projections only on the aid that they were counting. Basically the UN has stated that famine was imminent, and that tens of thousands of people would die from starvation. That never happened because the UN was not counting all the aid that entered Gaza.

The UN spreading misinformation is not helping the situation. All the reporting the UN has done on this conflict isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

It’s definitely a fact that there was, and probably still is people suffering in Gaza. As unfortunate as it is, this does happen during these types of conflicts.

Are these the “certain circumstances” you are talking about?

The Israeli military said 14 rockets and mortars launched from the Rafah area hit Kerem Shalom crossing. Hamas said it had been targeting Israeli soldiers in the area. Israel's Channel 12 TV channel said 10 people were wounded.

The IDF launched counter-strikes on the launch site and other locations in Gaza, Lerner said.

The military said the crossing was immediately closed, halting deliveries of aid from there into hard-hit Gaza. It was unclear how long the closure would remain in effect.

The incident came at a time when Gaza is facing a humanitarian crisis with shortages of food, medicine and other humanitarian items.
