It drove me crazy that they tried to ride the overrated McElroy. Yeah, you got huge yards early ... but it's not working anymore, switch it up.
Ugh.
Oh well, like I said before, since I became a fan, I've got to watch this team go from NCAA sanctions and Mike Shula to national champs in 6 years. So, as far as teams go, it's been pretty good, but god damn this was hard to watch today.

The student section at Bama made it rain on the Auburn players when they took the field too....

Give me a break about the Boise BS.
Anyone who doesn't think they aren't one of the top teams in the country doesn't know anything about football. They lost to a damn good Nevada team because their kicker choked and all of a sudden they suck? I'm no Boise fan, but if you actually watch them play (which most people don't) you can see the hype.

It's easy to look good when your conference contains: Louisiana Tech, Idaho, Utah State, New Mexico State, and San Jose State

All that's taken into consideration in the BCS computer calculations. You have to be perfect, win by a lot, and win those games against decently ranked opponents, and they've done that.
Not a Boise fan myself, but after the Fiesta Bowl a few years back their certainly on the radar.
Last second bomb to set up a 26 yarder was amazing...as was the chip shot miss and then the next miss in OT were simply atrocious, and I have my doubts if that guy ever kicks again, or finishes his scholastic career in Boise.
Teams like this have a small window, and everything has to go right to get into the BCS game...all sorts of factors (minor slip ups such as not winning by enough against a weak opponent) can happen next year or the year after etc to prevent Boise from getting this far again.

Poor kicker. I suggest a transfer, perhaps to a school that doesn't have a trucking college.

I've watched them a couple times, although I passed out before the end last night ( the trip to and from Philly for the Flames game took a lot out of me) adn you're right, they are a really good team and maybe one of the top teams in the country. The problem is the only time they beat other top teams is situations that are primed for them to do so, long layoffs that give the less talented but smarter and more creative teams a big edge. And when it comes to intelligence and creativity they've got to be tops in the country. Here they had a chance to beat a good team, not a great team but good, on the road in the course of a regular season week and they couldn't pull it off. It solidifies the argument that BSU wouldn't be able to run the table when facing tests from teams of this calibre throughout the season, which is the case in any of the PAC10, SEC, Big XII (usually) or Big Ten and occasionally true in the ACC.

Nobody said BSU isn't good, they are actually carrying the entire conference. They have made Nevada better. In a few years that conference might get really good and they could surprise teams in other conferences which overall makes the schedule stronger.
Might sound stupid but in the long run the win by Nevada might help BSU as it makes their conference more legit with more than just one good team in it. If BSU had rolled over Nevada, everyone would just laugh and they'd never make the Final even in 100 years.

Except that BSU is leaving that conference.

Oh yes I forgot. But Nevada is joining them the following year
If Nevada can get as good as BSU and they both have a good out of conference schedule.. they'll go places!

And when they're blowing out your Ducks, right?
They obviously play weak competition, but they blow them out consistently every week. People always love to say how many teams could go undefeated in that conference - how many teams can go undefeated while ending every game in the 2nd quarter? Not many.
