So I'm back from Phoenix, iPad in hand.

I have set up my US iTunes account, so I just added Pages and iBook. Anything else I should get from the US store before switching back to the Canadian one?

Other than the two aforementioned apps, thus far I just loaded the iPhone apps onto it, so it IS a giant iPod Touch.

I can't tell you how many people stopped me and asked to see how it works....

My dad went to a doctor here in town the other day - the doctor had 6 iPads for use in the clinic.

The size and capabilities of an iPad make it a great tool for uses like that.

I have the Apple one. It works for me. I like the various ways you can position it based on what you're doing.

It seems to get a bit dusty around the edges when I clean the screen. Not sure if that would be prevented by using another case.

Maybe get the HP Slate which runs Windows 7 and you can run SimCity although I certainly hope Win7's touch interface has improved since all the older ones were sheer garbage.
