I just can't fathom who he would need to kill at this point with ricin if it would be a prolonged death. Perhaps a new boss type from the Czech.

Oh. So who took over the cooking (and currently messing it up)? Todd (and some of the Vamanos gang)? The distributors? Someone else? I don't think it's the guys in the Czech Republic, though they might be the ones getting mad about the new quality standard.

I don't get why he went through all the trouble of hiding the ricin in the first place, then tracking it down again.
Hasn't he whipped up a quick ricin batch on a couple occasions? Why wouldn't he just make a third one?

Well, it's not just something you can 'whip up'. On both occasions he's used a lab. The first time their homemade one, the second time Fring's lab.
Depending on how he's hiding it could be impossible.

Yeah Hank's career and life are on the line. He invited Walt into the station, used him in sting operations, the whole bit. Guilt by association.

I just hope they go with something a bit more creative for Walt/Hank than the "you'll look bad" approach. Walt's already pulled they before and it's too easy / unsatisfying of a way to keep Hank at bay.

I'm not sure I know what you mean about Hank giving Walt an out. But I do agree he takes him very seriously. I just don't know if it will be enough.
I can't really see Hank being the 'hero' of the series. He may be part of Walt's downfall, getting him to the place where we've seen the flash forwards, but I think he's a dead man, heh.

Bring the kids over, then we'll talk.
So not a true "out" but an implied way to work things out. Walt didn't want to take it.
I also don't think it will go down the Hank will be screwed if he turns in Walt angle. I think Hank cares more about getting the "monsters" off the streets than anything else. Hence the "F*** Family" line. I think Hank is willing to go down if it means getting Heisenberg.
Not sure where this is going to go, but I can't wait for next Sunday.

This is why I don't want the Netflix TV show craze to catch on and eventually replace cable shows. All I'm talking about right now with friends is last night's episode and getting excited for next week.
If Netflix way of releasing shows gets really popular, all the fun of the build up is gone. All the fun of chatting about the characters is gone. All the guesses of what's going to happen next is gone. Netflix ensures the public will never be on the same page in terms of where they are in the course of the show.

Hmm. So was it just me or did Walt kind of clue in to the missing book kind of fast? It was about a week, but I don't think it is something I would reasonably notice if a book under a stack of magazines went missing. I think it would have made more sense if Marie or Walt Jr. noticed Walt's book at Hank's house and then mentioned it to Skyler or Walt.

That book is likely a trophy to Walt. I'm sure he'd notice if it was gone.

^ Yah but why would Hank leave the book out in the open for someone to discover that easily? Them randomly stumbling upon it at Hank's house and then telling Walt about it would not work in my mind. I doubt either of them would even notice, or care about it as well. The way Walt found out made sense to me, and it was pretty simple to put 2 and 2 together regarding Hank's "sickness" when he knew the book was gone.

Well, I don't think it was just that. It was that Hank was acting kinda funny. He heard on two occasions after Hank left the house that he still wasn't feeling well. ONe situation made him think about the other.

Ahh yeah, that's right.
Course it could also be Hank's way of making sure the kids are safe before he moves in for the kill, or shiznit really goes down.

I definitely get what you're saying. On the other hand I would have gladly marathoned the whole season last night.

I don't think I've ever thought to myself:
"Gee whiz, sure is a shame that I have access to all of these TV shows and can watch them whenever I want with no commercials because I can't talk with my stupid co-workers and their idiotic opinions about what they think it going happen over the next week until I can watch another episode."

Great episode as always. Man do I love this show.
Dean Norris is often lost in the shuffle of the Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul love but he is a fantastic actor in his own right. The confrontation between Hank and Walt was great. I love that Walt confronted him and then went all Heisenberg at the end with the threat. I was expecting it but I thought he'd go all crazy and rant off the things he's accusing him of and pull it off as a "do you really want to mess with a guy you think is capable of all this" kind of thing but "tread lightly" is much more effective. Guess that's why these writers get paid to do what they do.
