8 games left, need 517 minutes for U21 players. So, 65 minutes per game. If Henry is out I would expect Wright to fill most of those minutes. Probably Myroniuk more often off the bench. If we get desperate put Holliday in for a game.

I noticed something about Gotah Ntignee's contract, perhaps it went under the radar. June 30 he was technically at the end of his loan to Annency, but on July 1 he was officially sold to Annecy for $250k (even though his market value was $50k). I think the Cavs just might a nice little profit.
For note, his MV at the start of his loan to Annecy was $100k (last August).
It could be one of the most dramatic finishes to the season possible but instead you have a series of totally pointless games.
I don't know about that. With the playoff structure there is a huge difference between finishing second and finishing fourth. Finishing fourth leaves you needing four straight wins including three on the road. Finishing second means you need only two wins with a second chance if you lose the first game. That's huge. First vs Second is less of a difference but first gets a spot in the Concacaf Champions Cup guaranteed.

The ultimate prize is the CONCACAF Champions Cup berth IMO, so however we get that, I'm down for. Would be nice to win the playoffs this year though, so we can finally raise that trophy and take it from Forge!

Yeah I don't really care about the CPL Championship as much as I do a berth in the CCC. That is the level of competition we should be striving to play and benchmark against. The more games in that tournament, the better.

If we must have playoffs, then I actually like this format more than a simple 4-team bracket. It is a good way to make a 8 team league a little bit more interesting. And there are different benefits depending on where a team finishes.
If the questions is whether we should have playoffs at all.... that's another story. I think that the top team at the end of the season should be the champion, just like most other leagues around the world. But... we're in North America, and North Americans need playoffs, so playoffs it is.
But I also understand that we don't have the pyramid here for a substantial cup competition that can help send teams to the CCL (aside from the Canadian Championship, which is shared with MLS). So having the league and playoff winners both heading to the CCL makes sense for what we have here.

Speaking of the Canadian Championship, the second legs of the semifinals are tomorrow night. Once Cavalry are out, I lose track. Toronto FC can do is all a favour by coming from behind the beat Forge. If Cavalry can't be there, I'm fine with any other CPL team pulling off an MLS upset. But not Forge. FTF.

TFC defeat Forge 1-0 and advance to the finals. Forge lose, and CPL gets the street cred of another MLS club only advancing on away goals. Don't mind that.

Decent crowd tonight, nice of Cavalry to have a moment of silence for the Gaudreau family before the match. Someone in 200 had a Gaudreau jersey hanging from the railing and there were tons of people in Flames gear.
Not the result I wanted, poor defending on a couple of corners and poof it’s another draw. I do really like these night games though.
