I didn't even say that it was bad. I was raised on Don Chery Rock em Rock videos in my Xmas stockings. I don't mind those players that play on the edge. Are they all D-bags? Probably, but I don't watch the NHL for role models.
I'd hate to break it to you now, so many year later, but your parents bought you Dollar Store knock offs of the Don Cherry Rock em Sock em videos.

I don't even have time for anyone that uses the term woke these days. The pendulum of stupidity swings back and forth between extremes. At one point progressives were pushing a little hard in terms of reaching for equality and acceptance of minorities and the LGBTQ community. Part of that certainly being that they declared some form of victory while "slamming" anyone that didn't hop on the train, trying to outcast them as dinosaurs.
These days we've swung back the other way, where people on the right are constantly screaming "OR MAYBE I'M NOT WOKKKKEEE ENOUGH TO SPEAK!!!!!!" and a bunch of other melodramatic bull**** feelings that they're persecuted and shouted down when they're clearly not.
If anything, those that don't like forward progression for minorities and marginalized groups are smelling like roses these days. Most forward progress has been successfully halted by conservative groups and braindead, QAnon backed divisive discussion that favours stagnation at best and regression at worst.
In my hockey pool I am allowed one keeper pick from last year. My best two options are Kadri or Tim Stutzle. Which player is likely to get more points this year?

Kadri will likely be playing with Coleman & Mangiapane.
Stuetzle will either be with B.Tkachuk & Batherson, or DeBrincat & Giroux
On paper I'd say Stuetzle outscores Kadri easily. Or maybe I'm just trying too hard to avoid rose color glasses syndrome, idk. (And I think the Sens had the most impressive offseason as far as upgrading their roster)

Very glad we have Kadri, but Stutzle is easily the better pick for keeper formats. I think the Sens got leaps and bounds better in the offseason.
I’m so pumped Kadri is on this team, such a great guy, fantastic role model for his community and a very impressive thing he’s done for the city of London with that surgical facility. All the things you know Sutter values at a high level off the ice Kadri is showing and I can’t help but think positive thoughts once they start to work with the on ice stuff. We are in for a treat this year me thinks!
