Not far off
Henry Percy aka Henry Hotspur
Nickname given to him during the 100 years war because he was always leading the attack, the Scots said he must have 'hot spurs' on his horse to make it run so fast

When you look at the squad, the lack of turnover is just mind blowing. This guy wrote a great, scathing piece yesterday that really sums it all up quite nicely: https://worldofhotspur.com/the-great...enham-hotspur/

You just know there’ll be a £25m bid from west London.

Well Spurs are really in great shape. Fabio Paratici (our DoF, incase you're not aware) is under investigation for things at Juventus. Today the prosecution recommended 20 months and 10 days "inhibition" for him. Last spring they were cleared, and a retrial was requested.
So, during a very important window for the club, with a DoF who finally seems to have some progress in getting in some young talent (Sarr, Udogie, Spence, for example), it seems like were about to have it all derailed. Pretty incredible, really.

30 month ban for Paratici, only in Italy at this point. They’ve ask that this be extended by UEFA and FIFA, and I can’t see why they wouldn’t leap at an opportunity to be “tough on corruption.” Regardless, Paratici is probably out at Spurs.
Pochettino didn’t want to work under a DoF…so, maybe he’s coming home?

He's not the only one. A big chunk of Juventus staff are under suspension.

Oh I know, but I thought that I would put him here because of the PL angle. At least we have an excuse for not doing anything in the transfer market this month?

It ties into it, the story is harry Hotspur was fond of cockfighting, which was popular around the time he was alive, and they often wore spurs when they did it
Old logos used to show spurs on the rooster

It shouldn't stop anything, juve will appeal and if that doesnt work the individuals all probly will
If they use that as an excuse to not bring in players the atmosphere at every home game is going to be ugly

Is Winks stranded in Italy now? Paratici can’t bring him back!

looking good for Moyes in the El Sackico ... Rodgers also up 2-1 vs Brighton.
but that's got to be it for Lampard. Not just at Everton, but in the PL as a whole. Terrible manager living off his name, and by now, that should be clear to everybody.

Amazing how much of a pass he's been given as a manager when clearly lacking. Even Ole outperformed him.
But in one of the most confusing things for me in sports he'll get hired somewhere else.

Dont give me this 'rooster' crap...you know what it is! At least the French have the common decency to admit it!

Definitely an option if Ten Hag is willing to gamble and risk him in a new role in such a big game. But then again starting McT is as big a gamble. Shaw can definitely do the LCB thing and it might be tempting to take him off his England teammate Saka in favour of Malacia who has a nasty little streak to him.
Fred needs to just be man marked to Odengaard like de Bruyne.
Not overly concerned with whoever takes Saka or AWB against Martinelli but midfield without Casemiro scares me.
Hoping this reignites the rivalry between these two.
Says it all that I'm indifferent to the news that Martial isn't travelling.

it's McTominay straight up for Casemiro. Not sure how that'll work, but we'll see.
pumped for this one. Great to see a United-Arsenal matchup worthy of being the top game of the week again, it's been too long!

Got a really bad feeling. Hope McT proves me wrong but I'm anticipating stupid needless fouls with a possible early yellow.
