In the 2013 he kind of goofed up after picking obvious choice: Monahan as the best prospect but avoided a mistake made by most not picking Baetschi as the #2 prospect.... But skipped over Gaudreau ( Hobey Baker final 3) to pick ---- freshman goalie Jon Gillies.
Wrong once every 5 years?
Pretty sure that anyone following the Flames would have been wrong about Jankowski, Bennett, Valimaki, Baertschi.
Pretty sure you said the Flames were a bottom 5 team last season...and every other season
you of all people don't want to play the post history game

Would the end of the upcoming college season be the normal time you would expect to see a player like Coronato to sign in the NHL?
Coronato will quite likely play another two years in college, and sign at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. But I think if he has a great year there is also a good chance he signs when his 2023 season is done, and he joins the Flames in the playoffs.

I just can not take you seriously anymore after you were viciously exposed by Ricardo

I disagree. If the expectation is for Coronato to be an impact forward he will be ready to contribute after his NCAA season is done.
I expect he will be and he’ll be a nice little addition as the Flames (hopefully) are readying for the playoffs. I’d say there’s a 90% chance he’s better than Toffoli by the time he’s done this year in college.

Now, that's a hot take.

I would think that, as long as Coronato has a solid season with good progression from last year, that the Flames will offer him a contract when the NCAA season ends.

I would honestly be surprised if Coronato doesn't sign in the spring — and get a look in the top nine. He's a premier prospect at the Flames' weakest position. I think he has the ability to be a real difference-maker.

I'm sure they will, and it's highly probable that he'll take it. But it's his choice, and he might want three years of Harvard under his belt before turning pro.

Agree. He was the 12th person selected in his draft. Deservedly so. Most people drafted at this spot play in the NHL within 2 years.
I see no reason why he shouldn't be able to be signed this spring. Especially when we know that Havard will be done before the Flames. And the risk of walking is obviously a lot lower.
Coronto is already physically developed. He just needs to make sure that his all around NHL game is solid enough to contribute.
