Aside from that cross check, I haven't noticed Sven today.
He's clearly got the skill, but perhaps he's not as driven as some of the younger guys, since he's almost guaranteed a spot on the Flames (at least to start). I would hope he'll show more at Young Stars, and the big camp.
Maybe when they switch ends, it'll be easier to notice some of the guys on black.

Janko looks better today than Saturday. Almost scored a rebound on the Arnold dangle.
Piorier has been using his speed and size to split the D. Looks more confident today.
Tim Harrison reminds me of Tim Jackman.
Klimchuk is really good at board battles and walking the puck out into the slot.
Kanzig is impressive.
Monahan and Gaudreau are on another level.
Knight and Horak are probably the most NHL ready guys in camp.
Disappointed in Sven so far, that retaliation was kinda brutal, but even outside of that he hasn't done much yet. Hopfully he has a better second period.

Hopefully just amongst the goalies, because that wouldn't be a good sign for all the skaters.

WHy? Because a goalie can't be in great shape?
I remember when we drafted him, they said the kid was a pure athlete.

Amongst all players. Pretty significant for a goalie

On another level skill wise, but not yet pro-ready?

Either bad news for the skaters or we just have a beastly goalie who can defend himself in front of the net.
I guess that's the solution to the Flames not doing anything in front of our goalies last year.

The bolded part caused me to snort out my coffee at work, too funny.

A bit part of fitness scores are power related, not pure strength. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the most explosive player at camp.

Last year I stated that Gaudreau was a prospect on the same level as Baertschi.
Stand by and still believe that. The kid will be fine in the NHL.

Gaudreau is a ridiculously exciting hockey player. He gets that puck, turns it up ice and it's like instantly he's got 50 feet of room on all sides and you just know an offensive chance is coming one way or another.
