Great 2 weeks of 07 highlites cant wait.
The revenge tour continues, ravens for 09 and giants for 07. time to take care of business. I think its a big advantage for the pats playing a team they have already seen this season. The two week break definately helps NE as the giants are on fire and extra prep time for Bill and TB is never a bad thing.
Cant wait for February 5th. That said I am not looking forward to the story lines heading in.
Pats 28 Giants 23

Yeah, never liked the blue blooded Manning brothers. Belichek better come up with some schemes to stop Cruz and Hicks. The Giants are peaking at the right time.

Double B and Brady getting two weeks is big but with how physical that Giants game was and how hard Manning got hit, the Giants really need the extra weeks break too.

I can imagine this is how Patriots fans feel when some people seem to hate the Pats religiously but I'll never get the hate for Eli Manning. He's been nothing but class since he entered the league, doesn't spout off in the media and is an elite QB.

just hoping the next two weeks will hurt their momentum... you get the feeling that if the Mannings werent football players, they would be sitting in the bayou eating possum on a stick and talking to each other in their hillbilly drawl.

Is this really that big of a deal as it is being made out to be?
The Pats lost last year with two weeks off to the Jets, lost after the Bye week this year to the Steelers, lost to the Giants with two weeks before the Super Bowl and didn't exactly have a stellar game plan today for the Ravens.
I know that Belicheat is considered a genius and Brady is the golden boy but it doesn't seem like there is much they do/can do with the extra time.

Brady has been playing like someone kicked his wife in the face and he is out for revenge.
I think he has brought his intensity up to another level and will bring it against the Giants in the Superbowl. No way will he let them off the hook for clowning their team in 07.

I have no problem with what he did, he didn't make a big scene about it, he just clearly did not want to play for a certain coach. It worked out for both teams. He's shown absolutely no signs of being selfish or having an attitude problem.

What bothers me about Eli is the look of disgust and/or indignation he tosses towards his teammates when a play breaks down.
He's definitely gotten better and he's a good QB, he just comes across as a dick, and class isn't a word I'd use to define pulling a Lindros.

He has that look on the field sure, but his teammates speak incredibly high about him and how he's blossomed into a leader. Brady tosses his hands in the air on miscues the same way Eli might shake his head.
I never have gotten the "players should have no voice and just play for whoever drafts them". With how misused they've been by owners, what's wrong with a player quietly and within the rules saying he does not want to play for a certain coach who has been a QB killer?

Peyton and him both have that same sad, angry hillbilly look when one of the players "messes" up... also tired of seeing Archie Manning all the time spouting off

It was handled a lot better and with a lot more "class" than the way Elway handled his situation and yet I don't hear much complaints about him being a jerk or classless.
I wonder how much this has to do with the team you cheer for moreso than what Eli did.
Which is nuts since by him letting the Chargers know early they were able to get a great return for him.

The Chargers did fine and if Eli had stayed there, nothing would have changed, the Chargers with their soft defense and finding ways to lose, they would still have 0 super bowls... early in Elways career, i think he would have been labled a jerk but as time goes by, most people forget he was drafted by the Colts
