If being frustrated at work is simply a result of “choosing” the wrong work then you’d probably be hard pressed to find anyone who actually chose the right work.

Sports radio play-by-play/colour commentators who, when they're cutting to a commercial break, don't say what the ####ing score of the game is. "With less than five minutes to go in the third quarter from 110th Grey Cup between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes"—uh huh, and who's winning you dumb son of a bitch!?!?

I feel like if we have socialized medicine then motorcycle helmet mandates need to come with that.

Actually Alberta (and maybe other provinces as well) doesn’t have a blanket mandatory helmet law either. We allow for religious exemption and while it’s not common to see anyone without a helmet, there’s a guy about 20 houses from mine who doesn’t wear one.
Usually I’m against exemptions for any religious group but this one is just suicide with an extra step. Knock your socks off.

Yes it does, very well
And it doesn’t always suck
Yesterday it did

We have a bus stop outside our house that is nothing but mildly inconvenient annoyance. That same bus runs a closed loop less than 6km one way, and stops on the same block as my wife’s work.
And somehow, on the most simple route imaginable, the bus runs off schedule often enough, and extreme enough, that my wife can’t rely on it to get to and from work routinely.
Like, how is it even possible.

I believe the explanation when similar silliness happened over COVID was panic buying happens because some people can't bear to be in a situation where they feel a total loss of control, so they do something -- anything they can -- to feel like they have some semblance of control over the situation. That time it was panic-buying toilet paper.

Ya, I went to get some brown sugar yesterday, and all that was left in Superstore was a shelf covered in sugar dust. Which sucks, because my wife uses that a lot to bake me yummy things.

I regret using 10 cups of sugar to make jam. Ah well, lots of blueberry and cherry jam.

With all the Christmas baking people do, I can understand the rush.
I didn't hear about it until about 3:00, so to late for me. Hoped for a bag.
I bet there were people with cartloads, just because.
Oh well. At least we can do without, like you said. Not the end of the world.

First you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women.

I’ll be selling sugar packets out of a van in the alley behind City Hall if anyone needs any. $5 each.

Why do
Some people send
About 5-7 different partial
Texts when
Maybe 1
Might do the trick
If they gave it a few seconds of
Thought?
