I agree with you.

I felt sorry for him, but even if I thought he would be the 'voice of reason', it clearly hasn't been working for him so far, so why would she all of a sudden start listening to him now?

Voting for the NDP to avoid that whole mess seems to be the only way to go at this point.

Remember how all those "voices of reason" were going to reign Trump in? Good times. When the inmates already control the asylum, why the hell would they be anything other than insane?

Anyone who has had to spend any amount of time caring fo someone in the hospital knows this is pretty much your only option, and it was really nice to have a good variety of healthy options.

Just another epic disaster of privatization of our healthcare system, like when they privatized parking, and prices went up and flexibility disappeared. But hey, a private company got to make some money off of taxpayers, so big win for us.

I still don't understand why Conservatives push for this stupidity. It makes no sense. Do they like paying more for less?
Damn this explains it. For the last 6 months I've been wondering why the food at RGH/PLC has resided somewhere between foreskin and rectum.

UCP just gonna keep flagellating health care workers until the morale improves.

That says it all right there - he knows DS and the UCP are crap, but he has no choice. I like him and I feel he's represented us well, but I just can't vote for the party he's aligned with. And his reply was very quick - I don't think it's the first time he's had to advocate for himself over the party or Premier.
He must be hearing a trend. When he came to my door he didn't try and sway me at all when I told him that I can't vote for a party that has Smith as the leader. I wonder if he's in damage control mode.

I wonder if McIver like any door to door salesman quickly figures out what the person who answers the door wants to hear to still get thier vote.

UCP seems a touch disorganized. Three different people dropped the same flyer within the span of an hour.

The first one closed the mailbox and then sorta glitched for 5 seconds and just stood there staring at the plain mailbox lid.

The second came back after getting to the sidewalk to double check that they indeed put the paper in the mailbox. So they too glitched out at some point.

So you're saying that McIvor is lying to people to get them to vote for him? Wonder where he'd get the idea that lying to the public is ok.

I saw 4 of them milling about, unsure of what to do. They then went to one door, then mosey'd off in the direction from whence they came. I think all the orange discouraged them.

Yesterday from across the street a guy calls out "I like he colour of your sign!" His team was very upbeat, and we had a nice little chat. I also got a call from the NDP asking if I needed help with any voting related thing. I also received a call meekly asking if Nixon could count on me for my support "absolute not" "Thank you." click. Kinda get the feeling it's obvious where the excitement is this round.

Just got a call asking me if I would support the “independent conservative candidate” in my riding. I didn’t even know that we have an independent conservative candidate running in NW Calgary

Yah, same disorganization out in my rural area. The UCP incumbent from one riding over sent us all mail outs and has his signs up in our area and still nothing from our current incumbent UCP MLA. I saw a neighbor take down their blue sign the other day and I believe he is of Ukrainian heritage, so maybe the pro-Putin social media posts of some of the UCP candidates made him change his mind.

Hmmm tough choice.

nobody has been listening to him since Smith became leader

noone will listen to him if the election votes the #ucp in.

it is sad to see him reduced to desperate pleas for some sort of fictional relevancy

In fairness to offer the counter point for Calgary Bow - Druh Farrell is not universally liked either:
