Do you find Israel's deliberate mass murder of children repulsive and evil?
Yes or No?

What's the value of continuing to beat the dead horse of this line of interrogation?

It's more the regime apologists coming in and saying war is over, PEACE! All is well now, move on.
The peace (however elusive or not) does not magically undo the Israeli regime's genocidal crimes over the past 2 years.

If Hamas and the ruling government of Israel were both overthrown out of this, that's' when it goes from happy there is peace for now to ecstatic that there is real hope. That real hope has been dead since Yitzhak Rabin still walked among us.

And I think that’s what the disingenuous “are you happy???” stuff misses or purposely ignores. Is the prospect of peace worth celebrating? Of course. Is the end or even pause of mass killing worth being happy about? Of course.
- Hamas is still a terrorist organization that hates Israelis
- Israel is still being run by warmongers who hate Palestinians
- Most surviving Palestinians in Gaza have no homes to go back to, no hospitals, no schools, no stores, and are still starving and dying
- Palestinians are still being killed and run out of their homes outside Gaza
The broader conflict and the death toll didn’t start on October 7 and it isn’t over today. Are we happy about that?

Exactly.
Imagine if you were kidnapped, and beat, and tortured (something that has happened to both the Israeli hostages and Palestinians), and you were finally freed, and when you get home everyone keeps asking you "are you happy now" and questioning why you're not ecstatic.
Well ya, I'm relieved to be home, but I was still just beaten and tortured for the last two years, so "happy" isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe how I'm feeling. Especially since the people who beat and tortured me are still walking around.

To determine whether Mr I want peace can acknowledge that Israel carried out repulsive
and evil acts of mass murder.
Because I get the sense that it's the same as Language and genocide. If you acknowledge it then you have to question yourself why you are ok with it?
It's quite fascinating to see someone struggle to acknowledge clear and obvious evil. Unless, maybe they consider it a necessary evil?

That’s why I don’t acknowledge it, because there was no genocide.

Israel specifically told the released Palestinians to absolutely NOT be happy.
Quote:
Israel has warned Palestinians in the West Bank against celebrating after security prisoners are released on Monday, according to a Palestinian prisoner’s family and a Palestinian official familiar with the plans.
In neighborhoods where prisoners’ families live, Israeli forces have distributed fliers warning that “anyone who participates in such activities exposes himself to punishment and arrest,” the official says. The Associated Press has reviewed a copy of the flier.

So I guess to drfever's chagrin, not everyone was supposed to be happy here.

I'm just curious how much of reality you are prepared to ignore.
Do you accept that Israel violated the Geneva Conventions in their treatment of Palestinians?

I'll be happy when the Palestinian people have their homes and cities rebuilt, their lands stop being encroached upon, and Benjamin Netanyahu has answered for his crimes. Until then I'll be skeptical of this attempt to return to the pre-october 7th status quo.

OK, so you do deny reality, but not so much as to believe the Earth is flat.
I can only conclude you are a truly evil person, or you haven't read them.
