I really hope it’s not his neck, would be such a sad outcome after this saga

Don’t want him injured. But couldn’t happen to a better guy or franchise after he trashed the fanbase and they started cheating the cap.

Even a busted finger on a scorer’s hand can be big problems. It’s actually weird - players seem to come back from broken feet much more quickly.

Right hand. I’m guessing they x-rayed it last night and there could be a break. Looks like it got him on the fingers: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...r-body-injury/

Wonder if that could be it for Eichel for the season. Ottawa just announced that Chabot is done for the year because of a broken hand.

Oilers fans are probably celebrating right now.

How many assets is Vegas going to throw away trying to patch this season back together?

Also, that was a full on slapper right to his hand....that looked very painful.

Using what for assets? You think Philly is just going to give him away, and Colorado and Florida will politely bow out of the bidding?

Girioux has a NMC and wants to win a cup. He ain’t going to Vegas. It’s believed he already said no to Boston and New York. Wants Florida or Colorado.

After having played hockey with a severely sprained ankle, my experience was that injuries in that area weren't so bad. The skate boot was very rigid and gave lots of support. It was pretty much a cast. I was able to return to skating/hockey long before I could run again.

I wasn't in the path of 100mph slap shots mind you.

Eichel has had issues staying healthy his entire career and I don't imagine that changes now or in the future.

True, but this latest one was such a freak accident. It could happen to any player regardless of their injury history.

Man eichel seems cursed. Damaged goods for sure.

Vegas bit off more than they could chew. Should've stuck it out with their roster pre-Eichel.

Tuch and Krebs don't look so bad now.

They just got shut-out in Winnipeg, falling out of the playoffs with every other team competing for that last playoff spot having games in hand (as many as four). Their record since Eichel is not good - anyone know what it actually is?

Maybe Eichel is not a winner... he is coming from a culture of losing in Buffalo.

I don't blame Eichel particularly. Per Capfriendly, the Knights are playing without Stone, Martinez, Bischoff, Pacioretty, Smith, McNabb, and Lehner. No team will have a winning record with that many injuries to key players. (By the way, most of those guys are not on LTIR.)

The $95-million lineup they could theoretically dress in the playoffs doesn't matter if they fall out of the playoffs with the $55-million lineup they have right now.
