Women's National Hockey League. I am not sure if that's what it will be called, but a partnership with the NHL seems to be the direction things are going.
All the same the point is that in the next 35 years, all kinds of things could be happening that no one expects, for all we know, this centre could be used as an E sports arena. To say that it is just for the Flames is being wilfully ignorant.

one of Farkas questions has been answered: cost of saddledome damage in 2013 flood was $51 million but no cost to taxpayers. insurance paid for it with CSEC covering the deductible

Looks like Chahal is voting no

FYI: spoke with George Chahal during the break. He's leaning voting no, as the value of the land the #Flames can purchase isn't appropriately addressed. #yyccc #yycarena

That's ridiculous. The City and the Stampede want the arena there. The City owns the current arena and the Stampede owns where the City wants the arena. Seems like a no-brainer.
The Flames can purchase land in New Mexico and move the team there if they want. FFS.

Woolley is also hammering in on the Flames options to buy land. Calls it a bullying tactic to have the deal rushed.
Says he is for the arena but is trying to do his job.
