It's Stromans turn but with that many days off they can set up the rotation any way they want. It'll even be Sanchez regular days off.

I didn't have the sound up. Was he really bummed out? If so, that's awesome. It seems everyone (outside of Canada) hates the Jays, and I love it.

There's plenty of clips all over FB of the last play. It was just a really faint noo. Pretty funny, he obviously was not happy

Jays bullpen comes up big again -- only one hit (the double in the 6th); perfect through the last 4.
Sanchez was basically the opposite of Happ in game 2 -- only 3 hits but ends up with 6 earned runs. Go figure.

I hope Boston come back and wins and burns all their arms.
And I hope the Jay and Sox go to game 7, in what becomes the most epic 7 games series in MLB history.
For some reason beating Clev just seems... meh!

One has to admit, if someone was a Rangers fan, that would be a awful way to lose a game which ends your season.

Great to see a sweep!
Just wished joey bats could've ended it with another bat flip

That at bat by Martin to hit into the ground out was actually a hell of an at bat. He fouled off some good pitches at 2 strikes, worked it to a full count on some close pitches, then he puts the ball in play and forces the other team to execute.
What a fun few days of baseball. This team is really hot right now!
I also thought Osuna was, again, spectacular. What he is doing at 21 years old is incredible.
I hope that this is the end of the Odor-Bush-Dyson-Bautista nonsense and we can all move on from what happened in the 2015 ALDS and the games in May. I do wonder what Donaldson said to Matt Bush right as Bush was walking into his dugout when the game was over, he tapped him on the leg and said something.
GO JAYS!!

Donaldson talked about how good Bush was in the post-game conference, so I'm sure it was something along those lines. Probably not what he wanted to hear at that moment, but there was no ill intent.

Last years run created a resurgent Jays fan. I remember watching Olerud and Alomar when i was young. I remember when there used to be a comic about the Jays for kids.

I don't think it can be under-stated how monumental some of these playoff wins have been lately. Obviously the bat-flip stands out, but Edwin's walk off blast followed by the Donaldson dives - both in the same week no less?
We are literally watching and living bluejays history. This stuff is so freakin rare for a franchise to experience, and we are getting the full meal deal right now.
A great time to be a Jays fan.

That was an awful commentating crew. Glad they are done. We get TBS #1 crew in the ALCS.

I took the no as more sympathetic to the defender, not being upset the Jays scored.

Honestly, zyzz is just hearing what he wants to hear. I can't tell what the background guy did say, but it was not a "whimper", it was a rather excited exultation. The entire broadcast booth was into the moment, same as the fans.

So do batters intentionally foul pitches? Why?
So much about the game I'm trying to learn.

No not intentionally, but some strikes are harder to hit than others but you can't let them go by with two strikes or you risk the ump calling the third strike on you and you're out. With those pitches (when you have two strikes already) sometimes just making contact and fouling them off is a good thing. Keeps you alive in the at bat with a chance to get a better pitch to hit later.
