Yes. But I'd much rather send him down. He's never played at this level... trying to come back from an injury here would be a mistake. I suppose they could have him do some rehab games in Adirondack if they really wanted to, but I'd send him to Kingston and let him build up for next year.

I'm pretty sure Bennett can't play in the AHL.
It's probably best he just goes to Kingston and tears it up and hopefully wins a memorial cup.

He could do a conditioning stint I believe, just can't be assigned to the AHL

Bennett can be sent down to the AHL on a conditioning stint, just like the Canucks did with Horvat.

More and more I am so happy the flames got this kid. I know it's early but looking at draisaitl and Reinhart so far... They have been pretty unimpressive to me despite being healthy and considered the more NHL-ready of the forwards in the 2014 draft. I think Bennett looked much more impressive in the preseason than they did and he hasn't been 100% healthy for a year. The level of speed, tenacity, and skill that gaudreau and he could combine for will be so awesome for years to come.

Yeah I'm starting to be really OK with not getting a McDavid or Eichel and "settling" with Bennett, Gaudreau, Monahan, Poirier, Brodie, Gio as our upcoming core

Looks like a pretty good core. Would look even better with McDavid or Eichel though. Not saying we need them but we're kidding ourselves if we think we wouldn't be much better with one of them. LA probably still looks good without Doughty or Kopitar but they definitely look better with them.

Agreed. While McDavid and Eichel would certainly make this team a whole lot better, our scouting staff has been doing a great enough job that we do not have to worry about landing one of these guys as much as other teams.

Lots of Flames getting car dealership gigs. I heard Gaudreau and Russell on the radio for one. Standard gig is a car lease + money. I think Bennett did better on his car.
