Love the German optimism and they're rightful favourites but the best team doesn't always win in a one-game showdown.
The 2012 Champions League is a great reminder of that. Shots were 35-9 for Bayern and corner kicks 20-1 and they still managed to lose despite getting a PK in extratime and being up 3-1 in the penalty shootout.
Chelsea were an awful side that year, such an undeserving winner and if you play that final 10 times that was the only one Chelsea would win but they won when it counted.
Thankfully the German team finally seems in the right place mentally after winning the CL in 2013 and shouldn't allow a letdown but stranger things have happened.
Argentina will play a very defensive style and try to hit on the counter with Messi. Hopefully the Germans score early and force them to chase the game. Make no mistake it will not be as easy as some are making it sound.

Yup. The Argentine team has been better every game, and they're just generally a tough team to beat. A good defense combined with some game-breaking offensive skill and a decent midfield. And they're not afraid to go into a shootout either.
I think Germany will win it, but then again I expected Netherlands to win too.
I'll be a little disappointed if Germany doesn't win, but
a) both teams are well deserving a championship IMO
b) 7-1
the annoucers that CBC uses are quite humourous as it sounds as if they have crushes/bromances with a lot of the players......
i am assuming that the spanish annoucer who yells goal for two mintes is currently recovering in hospital after calling all of those goals the otehr day......

Manuel Neuer (244) completed more passes at this Summer's World Cup than Lionel Messi (242)!

Actually if you have a chance to rewatch the game and aren't too concerned about attacks and scoring chances, concentrate on the midfield battle between Scheinsteiger and Mascherano. It was one of the best 1-on-1 battles you'll ever see.
