Is it just me or is Hillary a horrible public speaker?
She's perhaps the most pandering politician I've ever seen. I have no idea what her actual beliefs and platforms are because they seem to change from crowd to crowd. It's why she lost the nomination in '08 and I really hope it's why she loses it this time as well
I don't know. No one really knows how off the cuff he really is since his show is scripted.
You can watch any of his interviews with other people to see his off-the-cuff ability. As a life-long performer, I would venture to say his ad-lib ability is likely well above most political candidates, if not all. And remember, almost all of what they say is scripted as well.
It was more tongue in cheek, but I think it would be very interesting and hilarious.

It's reeeeally early and this probably means nothing other than to show how weak the Republican field is (even with 13 candidates now). Still though....
Quote:
Mr. Bush, the former governor of Florida who has family ties to New England, was backed by 14 percent of respondents in a Suffolk University poll released Tuesday; the surprise was that his nearest competitor was Donald J. Trump, the real estate mogul-TV personality who announced his candidacy last week and who captured the support of nearly 11 percent of those surveyed.
That put him ahead of Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who placed third with 8 percent, and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, who had less than 7 percent
The Supreme Court spared a key part of President Barack Obama’s signature law in a 6-3 decision Thursday, ruling that the federal government may continue to subsidize health insurance in the dozens of states that did not set up their own exchanges.
Justice Anthony Kennedy, who expressed deep reservations when the case was argued about whether striking down the subsidies would coerce states into establishing their own exchanges, joined the court’s four liberals and Chief Justice John Roberts to uphold the subsidies. Roberts, who was the object of immense conservative blowback after he joined the court’s liberals three years ago to uphold the law’s individual mandate, again wrote the majority opinion in support of the Obama administration position.
The law’s challengers argued that four words in the statute — “established by the state” — meant that only people who bought insurance from exchanges in the handful of states that set up their own marketplaces would be eligible for tax credits and other government assistance. The government countered that the clear intent of the law was to provide the subsidies for all lower-income Americans who sought coverage.
More than 6 million people would have lost those subsidies if the court had ruled against the government, which experts said would lead to skyrocketing premiums and even a potential “death spiral” that could have dealt a mortal blow to Obamacare. The White House insisted in the days leading up to the decision that Obama felt he had nothing to fear because the government’s case was strong. But they are no doubt breathing a sigh of relief.
If anyone missed it, John Stewart absolutely destroyed Trump last night, ironically with the help of Bill O'Reilly who gave a pretty harsh (but hilarious) interview with Trump which Stewart then lampooned. Can't post it hear but good for a laugh if you want to check it out.
Really, Trump destroys himself, pretty much everything he says is moronic.
The GOP metldown on Twitter is always so good after anything that goes for Obama. It's also even more hilarious since this decision really helps the GOP more than anything.

He's just auditioning for another reality show, has no intention of actually running for president, and so is being as outrageous as possible, and yet still he's second most popular in the clown car that is the Republican Party.
The 24-year-old daughter of former vice presidential candidate and “SNL” punching bag Sarah Palin has spent the last eight years since her mom’s failed bid for the White House making abstinence (and holiness in general) her personal and very profitable cause celeb.
In 2009, Palin earned $262,500 as The Candie Foundation’s teen pregnancy ambassador but that same year told Fox’s Greta Van Susteren, “everyone should be abstinent or whatever but it’s not realistic at all.”
“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant. Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one,” wrote Palin.
“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” continued Palin, mother of 6-year-old Tripp with her first ex-fiance Levi Johnston. “But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”
It's gonna be hilarious in 15 years when this kid discovers the internet and that mommy was disappointed to have him. That would be 3 grandkids out of wedlock for Sarah. She must be proud.

In a serious blow to the forces of polarization, paralysis, and hyper-partisanship, the court ruled 5-4 that Arizona’s independent redistricting commission is constitutional.
Out of 435 House seats, only 35 are considered competitive, and the rigged system of redistricting is to blame. It’s a process of collusion between the two parties that takes place every 10 years in state legislatures and draws the congressional district lines—a subversion of democracy where politicians pick their people rather than people picking their politicians.
The result is a screwed up incentive system where members of Congress are virtually guaranteed re-election as long as they don’t lose a low turnout partisan primary, which means they live in fear of offending the base rather than reaching across the aisle to solve problems.
Increasingly, the remedy for this corrupt status quo has been voters bypassing the state legislators with ballot referendums that create independent redistricting commissions. California has done it to great effect, dislodging 14 incumbents who decided to retire after the independent commission promised to make their re-elections less than rubber-stamped.
And that’s what Arizonans did in advance of the 2010 districting, which upset then-Gov. Jan Brewer. First she tried to remove the independent commission’s chairwoman, Colleen Mathis, in a power grab that was overruled. Then Brewer decided to take the commission to court, arguing that the panel—composed of two Republicans, two Democrats, and one independent—tried to “elevate ‘competitiveness’ over other goals.” Seriously.
“This isn’t anything more than Republicans trying to hold on to a majority in a state where they constitute less than a third of the voters,” explained former Phoenix mayor Paul Johnson at the time But still the baseless, desperate, cynical case wound its way to the Supreme Court.
Vindication for my friend Colleen Mathis.

The conservative case in King v. Burwell was so weak, I'm honestly a little surprised it wasn't 9-0 for Obamacare.
Honestly because a good chunk of those judges are not there to interpret, make and rule on law but rather to protect the politics of their faction. This is especially the case with the a couple of the conservative judges.
Last week dealt two pretty big blows to the GOP candidates. They've done too much talking about these things that they can't change course now and it will likely come back to bite them in the election. Especially because the Tea Party is all angry and frothing at the mouth right now (even more when you toss in the flag) that they are going to pull any moderate to the right as they did with McCain and Romney.
