Oh, yeah, I know all about the SE store. And I was prepared to suck up the still-awful $12 shipping that is usually an option for a single item. But no way am I going to nearly double my cost because their courier is price gouging.
The game is indeed here to play at PAX. I didn't stop for long to watch but it looks good! SE also took over the gaming furniture booth area (the company went under earlier this year) and has a large presence for their . . . card game. the TCG does look nice though.
anyone far enough into Mario Rabbids that can comment on the difficulty? just beat the first midboss (pirannha plant) and am starting to think it will be hard enough to be intersting, but will only have a handful of challenging fights throughout. I'm pretty seasoned with TTTS games.

I'm a pretty big noob with these types of games, but have found the difficulty is starting to ramp up in the second world. It also introduces quite a few more mechanics before you're out of world 1.
The World 3 Boss in MARIO + Rabbids might be one of my favourite boss fights of all time, I really wish they hadn't spoiled him in his own trailer video.
Has anyone pre-ordered through Walmart before? I got in when Mario was $50 (thanks to this thread), so I'm just wondering if they'll actually follow through. Hopefully it won't take ages to ship.
Also, I seem to remember Amazon offering a Prime discount of 20% on game pre-orders. Seems it is only 10% now. Still better than nothing, but it looks like they quietly reduced the discount.
Speaking of pre-orders, FIFA 18 on Switch actually looks pretty decent. It won't be as powerful as PS4 or Xbox, obviously, but it looks better than expected. Considering the last FIFA I bought was FIFA 12 on the PS3, I'm sure it'll still be quite a step up for me.

I used Walmart to pre-order the Metroid: Samus Returns special edition and while it shipped on release day, regular shipping is about a week to Calgary. I will be picking it up at a nearby Canada Post office.

It really is a great tribute. Since you can only access the game on the anniversary of Iwata's passing (the only known way so far), you will have millions of people all over the world performing his famous hand gesture on the same day, just to access the game. Talk about keeping his memory alive.
