Yes, absolutely. For larger organizations in the US, health insurance makes up about 8-10% of total labor costs. Different industries will have different labor cost to revenue ratios, but it doesn't take a very high ratio to significantly eat into net income at normal net margins.
But the simplest way to look at it is just from a high level. In 2021, private businesses in the US spent about $750B on health insurance and about $280B on corporate taxes. So if their health insurance costs were say, cut in half due to universal health care, their effective corporate tax rate could increase by 134% without affecting net income.
And that doesn't even get into the fact that many states with very low corporate tax rates have other levies/taxes that businesses can't avoid (high property taxes, non-VAT sales taxes that businesses have to pay for goods, etc.) which further reduces their advantage.

That's ironic, considering what the UCP is selling you.

Not everyone. It’s just you and the entire UCP base. UCP isn’t even a Conservative Party anymore. They’re just a fringe party for the 1% truly dumb people.

You have to be a pretty big moron not to realize the UCP is the Wildrose Party. too bad there is no real lake of fire because every one of these deplorables would be burning in it.

Yup, totally taken over, but worse than the WRP. Conservatives are being played like old reliable fiddles, using their "vote blue" mentality to harvest their votes for the bat#### crazy fringe that has taken over the party they thought was Conservative.
Hopefully these people realize this before they vote. Otherwise "regret" is going to be a word they become very familiar with.

Its unfortunate but North American politics in general. You’d be hard pressed to argue the far left hasn’t infiltrated the BC NDP or the Federal Liberals. Love “disheveled” Steven Guilbaut coming out as saying it’s criminal code to violate to generate electricity from coal post 2030 today. Scott Moe your going to jail you climate change denier!
Its a joke all round and hopefully moderates on all sides. Biden saved the US from Trump and AOC, as half asleep as he is. Time is getting ripe for a moderate to step back in.

Danielle Smith says vaccinated Albertans are just like the German voters who elected Hitler. Now that's stupid. In fact you'd have to be incredibly stupid to trust anything this woman says.

Things like hiring anti-oil staff or even uttering the word 'royalty review' even though nothing was done about it. Raising business tax to 20%. Carbon tax. Raising the minimum wage too fast. Again, not all are bad or NDPs fault, just perceived as such.

I disagree, the historic right wing base in Alberta isn't looking at either parties record or making real critiques of the ANDPs term. They are rooting for the "home team" and grasping at any excuse they can tell themselves to justify it. There is no historic circumstance that can sway the people people who haven't been swayed yet.

Can somebody remind me what the “Lake of Fire”was when Smith ran for the Wildrose? I don’t know the actual story behind it but see it referenced everywhere.

Lol. Your “material” is run and hide when someone challenges your posts. It’s non stop. So take your own advice.
Engage in what you post. Because when you don’t, all it does is create support AGAINST what you believe.
Hit me with some facts yoho. Why should anyone vote UCP? Debate it.
