By mistake I touched an excerpt of a Fox interview with MTG. I’m trying to decide if she’s as stupid as she sounds or it’s an act as part of the grift. Maybe both.

It's clear to me you have very little knowledge on the subject. You parrot comments in tweets and when asked to explain your position you don't answer people's questions. That's why posters jump all over you and think you're trolling
I felt sorry for you and tried to have a polite and civil discussion with you through DM's and when I challenged you on how the justice system works you didn't respond. All I got was silence from you.
My mistake was thinking you had any understanding of politics or how the American justice system works.
Fool me once shame on me. There won't be a next time.

I wanted to share an insight as it may relate to yoho.
I have several friends / family that are in the same information sphere as yoho.
Once somebody is in that sphere it’s pointless to try and have interesting conversations with them.
Once they are gone you realize they have not only lost the ability to think critically, but they have a completely different set of information on what constitutes reality.
I’ve seen super smart people become a bunch of parroted talking points, and justification for opinions or actions that would have made them laugh if they had heard somebody say the same thing 5 years earlier, before they were lost.
It’s sad to be unable to have a genuine conversation where you discuss opinions and get interesting ideas with people you’ve known For decades. In the end, it’s talk about work, vacations, kids, shared memories.
I wish there was an answer to rekindle the interesting, thoughtful people I knew. But as far as I can tell those people are completely gone, almost as if they have been taken over by a bot on certain subjects.

I have a couple of friends in real life who are like that. It was impossible to have any discussions with them on Trump. Everything I said was considered fake news with comments thrown in that they know the truth. Today I avoid any talk about Trump and it took a stern text from me to convince to convince them of that.

If people are not taught critical reasoning skills early on, it becomes very easy to get them to a place where they believe very strongly that they are possessed of a sacred truth that must be defended. Human beings run on very buggy and easily exploitable software.
People are by and large not taught critical reasoning skills.

Mike Pence Torches Trump And 'His Gaggle Of Crackpot Lawyers'
Quote:
Pence said it was “completely false” that Trump only asked him to “pause the vote counting,” as Trump’s attorney claimed Tuesday evening. Pence said it was perfectly clear what Trump wanted him to do.
“Let’s let’s be clear on this point: It wasn’t just to ask for a pause,” Pence said on Fox News. “The president specifically asked me ― and his gaggle of crackpot lawyers asked me ― to literally reject votes, which would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the House of Representatives and literally chaos would have ensued.”
|
Quote:
As vice president, Pence presided over the U.S. Senate on Jan. 6 as Congress worked through objections to certify the election. Per the indictment, “the Defendant and co-conspirators attempted to enlist the Vice President to use his ceremonial role at the January 6 certification proceeding to fraudulently alter the election results.”
When Pence told Trump he wouldn’t go along with his scheme, according to the indictment, Trump complained that his vice president was “too honest.”

Ask Pence if he would vote Trump if Trump wins the Republican nomination? I'd be extremely surprised if it were anything but.

It doesn't help that organized religions actively teach anti-critical thinking skills and start doing it when kids are really young.

Not according to the indictment....
Quote:
They tried to persuade him to accept slates of fake electors or to reject states’ electoral votes and send them back to state legislatures for further review, the indictment says.
That effort included a series of phone calls in late December and early January, including on Christmas Day.
“You know I don’t think I have the authority to change the outcome,” Pence said during one call with Trump, the indictment says.
In another, on New Year’s Day, Trump berated Pence, telling him, “You’re too honest” — an episode also recounted in Pence’s book “So Help Me God.”
Some Trump claims were viewed as dangerous. During a private meeting on Jan. 5, he “grew frustrated” at Pence and told the then-vice president that he would have to publicly criticize him. Concerned for Pence’s safety, his chief of staff, Marc Short, alerted the head of Pence’s Secret Service detail

The key is to treat it like improv, and just go deeper.
I have a buddy who says the moon landing was faked. I told him not only was that faked, we’ve also never split the atom.
Most genius myth ever to end large scale war. Why do you think Putin hasn’t used nukes? Because he doesn’t even HAVE them! Nobody does.
It gets way more fun to just play with the crazy than try to fight it. Maybe someday it’ll even give him an offramp.

People by their nature have an insatiable desire to feel that they are competent, smart, and making a contribution to the world.
Many people get this feeling by convincing themselves that there are "radical left wing socialists hell bent on destroying the world", and see themselves as saviors protecting the world from these "evil lefties".
It's all a giant delusion based on a giant lie, but it satisfies their emotional needs nonetheless.
At the same time, these people somehow find Trump to be very relatable on a personal level, so they see any punishment or accountability levied toward him as an attack on them.
So when people are so blinded both by their hatred toward people they see as evil, and at the same time by their infatuation with a psychopathic conman who they see as a savior, the question is how on earth do we get through to these folks? It's a question I've been pondering for years and honestly still have no answer to.

Kinda feels like it would be completely rational for members to stop engaging with Yoho altogether.
And if you are/were like me and you can't/couldn't resist, put them on ignore.
Until the moderation team recognizes they are a detriment to the community, the community should proactively disengage.

Trump's lawyer, John Lauro admits to Greg Kelly of Newsmax that Trump committed a crime by asking then-Vice President Mike Pence to violate the constitution by delaying the certification of votes. Not very smart by a defence lawyer.

Yes anyone with a difference of political opinion is a detriment to the community.
When all these charge’s inevitably get dropped or dismissed how upset are all of you going to be who are currently tap dancing around?
2024 is going to be Trump’s and the Republicans I would start getting your head around it.
Did you guys just think these timeframes for inditement magically lined up with the Primary's run? Dems know they are in trouble and can’t run on their record and that America is basically unrecognizable.
All this focus on Trump is to distract you from how bad of shape the country is really in and how fast it’s slipping into a +**^% hole.
