Another call back...
Plus, Pierce's boat that Troy will be sailing around the world is the Childish Tycoon. Donald Glover's stage name is Childish Gambino.

I like Glover in the show but he always comes across as a bit of a weird guy in real life.

So, he's done on the show now entirely?
I was hoping he would become, at the least, a character that pops up every now and again. I'll miss him. I liked the character and I liked his friendship with Abed.

well given that the series will probably get renewed (NBC is struggling in the comedy sector, and series like Community and Park & Rec are their only "safe bets"), I hope he'd be back at some point in season 6 ... or in the movie that has to follow

This week will be his final episode. With the way they're writing him out, he could conceivably return at some future point relatively easily (as long as they don't get a sad "The Childish Tycoon was lost at sea, there were no survivors" telegram at the end of the episode).
During the summer, it was announced that Glover will be developing his own show at FX, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of new information out there about it.

Best episode in a long long time.
Donald Glover could be a spokesperson for Mental Health Awareness Day. *sadface*

That was the loudest I've laughed at a TV show in awhile. Chang's reaction was perfect.

I'm glad they are back to just having Chang being Chang and dean Pelton being Dean Pelton.
Those characters are perfect in the secondary role that they play. The weird story lines they had for those 2 in seasons 3 and 4 did absolutely nothing for the show.

Yikes tonight's episode was not good...possibly one of the worst in the series.

Really? It was fantastic. This season has been really, really solid. The best Community has been since season 2.

Huh. Had a completely different reaction. The entire show seemed to be pretty standard Community with a nice touching ending. The only complain I might have had was Professor Hickey, who kept referring to it as "fake killing". It's much more fun when all the characters get wrapped up in the insanity. Britta had the same problem initially, but that changed pretty quick.
Thought it was pretty solid. The show turns really quickly emotionally when it needed to...that's a staple of a great show personally. Not gut bursting funny like last episode, but still good jokes and lots of fun references.
