I was going to be done with this whole Jared Allen argument, but then Peter King had to talk about him in his MMQB - Tuesday edition. Just a few nuggets;
Quote:
Did you know Jared Allen played hurt last night? Sick, actually...."Some sinus infection, I think,'' Allen said.

After just 21 Minnesota games, he's already the Vikings' career record-holder for safeties (three), and he's on a sack-a-game pace since his trade here 18 months ago.

Good to see he has changed.

I'm going to defend him and you are going to hate on him. I see nothing wrong with what he does. You consider celebrations as taunting, you consider yapping back to a coach "garbage", and you refer to him as a drty player.

I don't like the things he does on the field. I am not sure I am "hating on him". I would say that overall I am not a fan of "showy" players so likely I am going to dislike things that he does that you think there is nothing wrong with.
I have seen him go at QBs knees and hit late a lot so still think he is dirty.
Quote:
Like I said from the get go, you sound like a bitter fan who's life has been personally affected by his "garbage".

Not sure how saying I don't like a guy that has 3 DUI's, has a history of dirty hits and taunting makes me a bitter fan or a guy that has been personally affected by his "garbage".

But I've been told to tack that on to moon being moon, so I will do just that.

LOL, now that's funny.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is getting a lot of criticism for throwing consecutive passes to fourth receiver Sam Hurd against Denver standout cornerback Champ Bailey on third and fourth down to end the game in Sunday's 17-10 loss. Is is possible that Romo didn't know it was fourth down? Following the final incomplete pass to end the Cowboys hopes, a video caught on KDFW Fox-4 shows Romo seemingly telling his linemen to line back up. He then flashes three fingers to one of the game officials. After hearing the response, Romo screams and walks off field. If true, Romo apparently forgot about the spike to stop the clock on second down.

That's way worse than the McNabb overtime thing from last year.

ESPN's Kurt Snibbe updates some NFL logos to reflect the first quarter of the season.
GOLD! The Rams is by far the best IMO.

I'm sure Ryan will get Edwards' act together, the Jets will be pretty dangerous with that defence.

Great pick up if he doesn't create a huge distraction in a locker room that seems to be functioning perfectly right now. Edwards is a talented player, but he's been nothing but trouble so far in his career so there's an element of risk. That said I'd be pissed if I had to live in Cleveland too.

Browns fans seem happy that he is gone. A "cancer" that drops the ball too much.

I'm pretty sure Rex Ryan will be able to straighten him out....he was in charge of a defense that had Ray Lewis, Terell Suggs and Bart Scott. All loud mouths, with the capability of turning diva-ish.
Really gives the Jets offense another weapon which is nothing but a good thing for Sanchez.
It's too bad, now Braylon and LeBron can't throwdown!!

He was being chauffeured around by MC Hammer!
Quote:
And although one hotel employee told me Crabtree said to Hammer, "Get it done," as he entered the SUV, it's safe to say that Hammer has no role in the negotiations. Hammer is long time friends with Deion Sanders and Crabtree's agent, Eugene Parker. Sanders is a mentor for Crabtree.

6 year deal, and the original offer was 5, so I'm guessing as far as the negotiation go the Niners "win" but it sure would have been nice to have had Crabtree smarten up 2 months ago.

None of those 3 guys has ever been accused of being a cancer in the locker room.

I think you are taking me out of context....all three are very outspoken guys and if treated the wrong way, COULD blow up and turn into a cancer. Although those are my opinions, becuase all three are very emotionally driven guys.
