This first set is going by very quickly as Bianca has run into a buzzsaw in Kalinskaya. Hopefully, she cools down a little as Bianca has no chance right now.

That's a missed opportunity right there, Bianca was at 15-40 on Kalinskaya's serve and just played 4 loose points to let her hold easily.
Edit: Was worried that Bianca might let that missed chance linger, but she buckled down and held serve nicely. I think she's thinking she still has a chance in this match.

That's called breaking at the best time - We need a 3rd set as Bianca takes set 2 7-5
Edit: Tough hold to start set 3, but Bianca gets it done.

Nice to see Bibi with two wins in her return, as well as the rest of the Canadian gang getting W's. Good French Open so far. Hopefully sets the tone for Canadian tennis for the rest of the year.

The young Italian kid Matteo Arnaldi sends Bweh packing in straight sets. That's an upset, but not a huge one, Arnaldi is a fine young talent.

Leylah is in the first set versus Ons Jabeur - Ons broke Leylah, but Leylah broke right back and we're at 4-4 with Leylah serving in set 1.
Edit: Ons breaks right back to make it three consecutive breaks of serve.

Leylah up a break in set 2, but she has to work so hard on her service games (very few free points today).
Edit: Ons breaks right back. This is the biggest issue that Leylah needs to solve, the top players exploit her on her serve.
