Did the drivers drive backwards down the pitlane after the race? That looked really weird after.

Yup, it’s such a long lap they have them U-turn into the pit exit. A normal cool down lap would take too long and cars could also run out of fuel (further delaying things)

Crofty said today it’s actually a safety issue because of fans on the track. The lap takes too long and they can’t hold fans back that long.
I thought the fuel thing made more sense.

Ya I heard the explanation seconds after posting. Being a fan of Spa, I'm surprised I never noticed before. Weird they don't have a cool down lap, that seems to be a big deal for the marshalls who largely donate their time.

You should say that more often...Race 13 results are in! And spoiler alert, but CecilT takes top honours this week with 5/10 correctly slotted and 8 Top 10 pics right. In second was woob with 4 slotted and 8 top 10.
Overall woob consolidated his lead of FurnaceFace by 9pts to take a 22pt lead into the second half of the season. FF holds a 17pt lead of TimSJ who had a tough week.
Btimbit this was your first miss...

@speede5, that is rad! Whats the backstory? Did you build + race yourself? I know a guy who runs the Drag circuit in Western Canada/USA so not sure if it's all part of the same series/race weekend. He runs out of Swift Current.

Looks like the track in Saskatoon and some kind of sportsman/late model car. Very cool and very expensive!!

Pro late model and yes I race in the club in Saskatoon. I'm only doing local races but this class is all over the place, some of our guys have raced in Edmonton, Penticton, and even ontario.
Expensive is relative, at this level you can get by on a pretty meager budget. Unfortunately there's always someone spending more and it is usually seen in the results. I just bought this car last year and it was in the middle of a full suspension update including a front clip replacement. So I half built it and maintain and drive it. This car is insanely adjustable and has to be bang on to be competitive, I'm still learning haha. It's been quite a learning experience as I previously raced a Protruck, which is basically a GM metric chassis (monte carlo etc) with weight jacks, a full cage and fibreglass body.
I have a couple friends who help in Saskatoon but being in MJ I end up being a bit of a one man show.

Whose your friend in Swift? My bro-in-law is president of the club there, they have a great turn out and race ~4 times a year at the airport.

@speede5 the racer I know is Mike Acker...runs Swift and Med Hat all the time.
@dammage79, poorly worded my reply...you have 3 missed races already (Austria/France/Hungary) in my tracker. I did see your pics for this week and they will stay entered, but if I missed one of those earlier weeks, lemme know. Or PM me. (Speede5, same as you, pics entered and kept).
