Elks officially eliminated from playoffs, get swept at home on the season

Not a single game won at home this season

Not. A. Single. Home. Win.

Payback for all those years in the 80’s when they dominated the league. The evil empire has crumbled and been ransacked by the rest of the CFL.

One of the greatest characters to ever play the game, an outstanding football player and carried on the nastiest feud in CFL history with Joe Kapp for decades after they were done playing.

RIP Big Man

Hamilton Tiger-Cats legend Angelo Mosca has died at age 84.

Helen Mosca announced the death of her husband in a Facebook post Saturday.

"It is with great sadness that the family of Angelo Mosca announce his passing on November 6, 2021, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s."

"Angelo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as friend to so many. Angelo was 84 years old. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this time. More details will be shared when arrangements have been made."

The CFL, and sports in general, need more characters like Angelo Mosca. If there is one thing lacking in pro sports today, it’s colourful players that entertain you on and off the playing surface. Even more so, players who can talk and back it up with their play. Sports has become so vanilla over the past decade with very little personality from athletes.

I miss the days when Lewis, Copeland, Rambo, and Burris played for the stamps and were lighting up the end zone with some of the best TD celebrations of all time. Where are the Jeromy Roenik’s of the NHL today? Everyone is so politically correct and boring now.

Bombers undefeated @ home for a season for the first time since 84. What a defence.

You might want to change your pick on the weekly predictor based on the news below:

I wonder if they play Collaros against the Stamps? Three weeks would be a long time to rest a QB.

One has to wonder if that game will have any meaning depending on how this weekend goes.

It won't for the Bombers regardless of how the weekend goes.

I meant for the Stamps. Bomber games haven't meant anything in a while.

Argos just clinched first in the East and have punched their ticket hosting the East final on December 5th with a 31-12 win over Hamilton.

Sweet, that should get them a tasty 5000 attendee revenue.
