Second will get us a home game in mid November. If we want to host the final, we either need to stay ahead of Forge, or have them get knocked out in the first round.

It's a 4 team single elimination knockout tournament. Highest seed hosts lowest.

I'm fine with Forge getting knocked out in the first round.
Cavalry have both Forge and Pacific in our last 3 games though, so we still control our own destiny. Seeding may all come down to literally the last game of the season, with the semi-final round game only 4 days later!

Think the games against Valour and Pacific are what will determine whether Cavalry get a home playoff game. 2 wins there and it's a lock. Might even make sense to rotate against Forge on the finale. Or just send in Di Chiara to take a few Forge players out getting a red in the process. Kill two birds with one stone there....

Mason Trafford interview with Pinder on Sportsnet 960. Says he's got 1-2 years left in him.

Montreal win on penalties over Forge. Came down to the keepers. Triston Henry missed. You love to see it!

That’s great! I obviously detest Forge, and Henry I probably hate more than any other player they have.

I love that he tried to be fancy with it. You're a keeper, just hit it hard.

History repeats itself. Henry ends Forge’s run in another competition. Love to see it!
Henry was off his line on almost every penalty, surprised they didn’t make Montreal retake any. Linesman should be calling that when it is that obvious. Breza needs stronger wrists. He had so many hands on balls and couldn’t keep them out
Happy for Waterman as he gets a small token of revenge, a confident penalty too!

Re-watching the Cavalry / Pacific game on One Soccer from last week... holy crap, ATCO Field is loud; the Foot Soldiers went nuts all game, I love it. And that Norman free kick - thing of beauty! Great game to re-watch for sure.

Can't wait until Saturday's game! Think it will be another raucous crowd with Halloween. Have a drink every time you see a Tommy Wheeldon costume.

Some of the drummers tried moving down the sections of the South end near the end of the game, and the guy who lights the smoke after goals ran the length of the South end. Sounds like it was well received by many, but it pissed off a bunch of the English supporters in 203. Guess we'll be sticking to 200 and possibly 201 for now!

That sucks about the smoke. We thought it was great when he ran the length of the 200s. Honestly the atmosphere are those games is amazing, and that was with the place less than half full! The whole vibe & experience turned my wife - who knows NOTHING about soccer - into an instant fan. We’ll be at the game again on Saturday- hope the Foot Soldiers are as loud as ever and that we get a decent crowd despite the weather!

By the way, I've got a spare ticket for Saturday - I'm doing the Halloween thing tomorrow night, so I'll basically be a real zombie on Saturday. If anyone wants my ticket at no cost, I'll transfer it to them! It's in 200.

Yes, yes it does. But I'm glad you and your wife had a good time. That's what will bring more people back each game, meaning they'll be here to stay.

Tommy's weekly interview on the Fan 960. Minatel is back in and likely to feature tomorrow. Sounds like Musse is fit as well. Ledgerwood and Trafford are close to returning but not quite there yet.
