Shoemaker on the 10 day DL as well right? Also I saw the Jays are looking for a second opinion regarding Pearsons elbow.

God damn is it pleasing to watch the Rays hit into outs when the Jays use the shift.

Too bad Jansen couldn't have hit that fly ball about 50 feet further out.

Yeah. Getting Josh Thole level production from the catcher spot so far this year.

Kay has been so good. I’ve been as critical of Shatkins as anyone but the Stroman deal is looking pretty good.

That deal looks like a steal now!

no production
until yesterday, zero guys thrown out at 2nd
not calling great games - no where near enough fast balls being called, which results in too many pitches thrown, which leads to the bullpen getting worn out
IMO, the catcher position is the biggest hole in the lineup at the moment

And in typical Rays vs Jays fashion, the Rays capitalize on their opportunities and the Jays simply cannot.

Yep, the Jays had baserunners and just couldn't advance the runners or get a timely hit.

So frustrating that the Jays could have won virtually every loss to the Rays so far

So three starters go down all on the same turn through the rotation.
Hopefully none of them are too serious or long term, and you really don't want to dick around with the bullpen too much. I wonder if they bring in any kids for a spot start?
Now would be a really good time to trade for Clevinger lol

The good news is that the schedule gets super soft for the next couple weeks, so that should help.

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired first baseman/designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach from the Seattle Mariners for cash considerations, it was announced Sunday.

Vogelbach, Vlad and Tellez would make a solid O-line haha
Seriously though, guy has a lot of power and a good eye at the plate. Not a bad addition to have on the bench in my opinion.

He was selected to the All-Star Game last year and hit 30 HRs but had a really bad start this season and was DFAed.
