Is it me or does the CofG of that VS-2 look like it would be out of wack, especially if this is composite. I get it's prototype, but man that looks odd.

I wonder how noisy it will be with the engines mounted on the fuselage like that.

Engines seem to just be getting continually quieter, so I'd bet it would be pretty minimal. Especially compared to the good old days when you'd sit at the back of a DC-9, 727 or MD-80 and go deaf (but it was awesome).

A lifetime ago: Second to last row, flying back from ATL to YYC via MSP on a Northwest (RIP) DC-9. A 450-lb guy next to me, pushing me up against the window on the two-seat side of the plane. The engine sound was the only thing that made it bearable. I was never so grateful to have a middle seat on an A320 for the second leg of that trip

The last 747 to be built is being delivered today to Atlas Air. Neat flight plan that you can view here: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/...600Z/KPAE/KCVG

On a slightly related note but not really... Boeing is going to set up another 737Max assembly line in Everett, where the 787 line used to be. Currently all 737 production is at their Renton facility so this is a major change.

Are they trying to draw something? I can't figure it out plus the elevation changes are pretty dramatic.

You have to zoom way in near the beginning of the flight path.

Edit: oh I’m confused, it showed the whole thing before but now I just see a partial.

Yeah it removed the planned flight path. Just wait and see, though. They're working on the special part right now.

Thanks! And I see now that they're adding something a little more obvious that wasn't in the flight plan.

Flight plan was shown at the 747 event yesterday, it's pretty cool.
