Apologies if posted already.
I've been pretty "meh" about Vegas this year but seeing Engelland with the Campbell Trophy is pretty effing awesome IMO.

Yeah there is a long history of teams riding a great goalie to win a Cup. Ask the Boston Bruins of 1973/74 who IMO were on of the greatest teams of all time who lost to Bernie Parent and the Flyers.
Goalie is immensely important in hockey. No way around it.

Do you have to swear and throw a temper tantrum at everyone who chirps you for being a Jets fan? This is a Flames fan board so you need to grow some thick skin.

I told one guy whos stalking me to stfu. I dont think you know what a temper tantrum is.
The only salt is from the jealous losers like him who wish his team made it that far. Full stop.

This will be interesting to watch. First we'll see how vegas follows up next year and then in a few years we'll see how seattle does.
I am one frustrsted flames fan right now though. Watching a friggin expansion team thats better than any flames team ive watched for the last 29 years.

Ill be hopping on the Vegas bandwagon now. #### Tampa and Washington. They should be rested up again and it seems like they're just a team of destiny right

We will never know that. Even though Seattle may get the same generosity the other GMs will be more careful and/or figure out a way to skirt the rules.
Its impressive, but not comparable to other expansion teams because it was never done that way.

Happy to see Vegas move forward, they were full marks for their advancement, and they're the ultimate in counter punching teams. You make a mistake and they make you pay.
Winnipeg had too many of their better players lose their game, and their goaltender just pulled too many blunders.
It'll be interested to see a Vegas with rest in the finals. I Tend to think that they'd rather face the Caps then the Lightning.

Congrats to Vegas. It is pretty cool seeing Engelland with the trophy. I will try to get over my jealousy and bitterness and appreciate this as a once in a lifetime event.

But that's not changing anytime soon so the Jets will need to adjust in the future.

Minnesota was possibly the worst team in the playoffs this year so I'm not sure how you could make that argument. Nashville is obviously a strong team but San Jose and LA are nothing to scoff at. Hell, San Jose was a bigger test for Vegas than the Jets ever were.

Why did Florida give up Smith and Marchessault...they could have protected both of them. Better protect Alex Petrovic or Mark Pysyk instead.
And really it’s that one deal that completely changed the path of the Knights. Instead of getting a #5 dman from Florida they received not one but two top line forwards that were 25 goal guys previously.
Honestly if you want to blame anyone blame Dale Tallon.

Don’t forget that is also the team that firsd Gallant at an away rink (I forget which one) and left him waiting for a cab, while the team bus drove off.
I still can’t i understand people that are blaming this on the draft rules. This is a team of players everyone thought was mediocre. They didn’t get a crazy advantage in the expansion draft, they drafted well, selected team staff well, and got lucky that so many players on their team had career years at the same time (whether they were inspired by Vegas strong, coached well, developed well, or just lucked into good timing). Taking away what they have done, however, by saying it’s the draft rules is crazy. Give that organization credit, and understand that luck was involved too. Hell, Lance Bouma and Tim Jackman were both double digit scorers with the flames at one point, and I’m sure that a couple of players in Vegas are having those type of one-off seasons, but they were still selected due to the explanation draft rules, aa bottom line filler players. Everything just went right for them this year, due too hard work, intelligence AND luck, but the draft rules didn’t create a Campbell trophy winner, the people who won it did. Way to go Vegas

Pic is huge, but it reminded me of the locker room pic of the Humboldt Broncos.

I didn't realize how good of a defensive player Karlsson is. If he can prove the offense wasn't just a fluke he should be considered in the top tier of players going forward.

It's awesome how excited they've been this entire time and now with the Conference championship. They're a team that doesn't seem to take any success for granted and has been loose for the majority of the playoffs.

They should've taken this on the ice. Conquered the battlefield type deal. But yes Broncos like.

Engelland with 23:20 of ice time in the game that sends the Knights to the Cup finals.
Maybe he's more than a #6/7?
