Well isn't that just what the club needs.
Ugh.

Not that I’m feeling sorry for Toronto, but man just a couple weeks ago that city was riding high. Leafs were forcing a game 7, the Raptors were off to the second round and the Blue Jays had a great start to the season going... Things feeling pretty dark right now

Assuming he's charged and resumes his MLB career after his. Does Rogers force Aktins to trade him? Do they want him on the 40 man roster?

I'd guess Axford.
Jays have basically just lost their most valuable pitcher (in terms of trade value) for nothing. Not insignificant odds that he never suits up for the Jays again and the universe of teams that would want him after this incident is probably small and that's assuming the Jays offer to trade him at a fraction of his actual performance value.
This is a major blow to the organization.

Yeah, this is pretty much a disaster from an organizational asset point of view.
Also decimates the bull pen for the current season.....at least.

Welp, game today....
Except for Morales I like that line up. Would be way better with Pearce at DH instead. Glad to get a look at Gurriel at SS and Alford in the bigs.
Not going in with high expectations though, with Stroman on the mound for the Jays and Paxton fresh off a 17 strike out game last time out.

Stro is so frustrating to watch. He'll look good for a while with some good stuff then he'll just get lit up and that will be the game.
Zero consistency this year.

Is there anything to Greg Zaun's claim that he's too short to be a successful pitcher? Something about not having enough height advantage to pitch down and his straight across fast pitches being too easy to read once the MLB gets enough chances to see him.

Zero hits through 5 innings for the Jays. This game isn't a lot of fun right now. Hope they can mount some sort of comeback soon to make it interesting as there's not even any hockey on to switch the channel to.
