Attempt was a poor choice of words on my part. He didn't fight to keep Chara out and more or less let him have the space uncontested.

Based on the picture you provided looks like Phaneuf is the only one to have to guard Chara and Lucic.

Obviously I can't see if there's a Leaf on the other side of Lucic, but if Phaneuf stays with Chara, Lucic is wide open down low, no?
