Congratulations to Laurent Brossoit, no doubt MVP for the Oil Kings these playoffs.
Great series by Baertschi and Wotherspoon. In the end, the Oil Kings were just the better team as a whole.
I'll be cheering for Edmonton and Brossoit in the Memorial Cup. They'll likely give Saint John the biggest run, but that Sea Dogs team is stacked.

Nice "LB!" chant going to end the game. Hopefully, they won't be loving him like this in a couple of years.
I've never before been happy to see an Edmonton team win a championship. Way to go Laurent! Kick ass in Shawinigan.

If Brossoit continues his strong play and gets the starter job for team Canada next year, which he is certainly in contention for, the hype will go from zero to massive so fast.
Here is the thread when he was drafted, 15 posts, nothing really said either way.
Kid is breaking out in a big way prospect wise.

To their credit that rating was made back in August. Goalies are hard to predict and he wasn't very good in 2010 - 2011. The Flames got him in the 6-round so it wasn't like he was highly regarded in August last season by very many.

At least this might show some people that Sven can't be a one-man savior despite how good he is. A team still needs strong defense and goaltending and the Winterhawks failed on both counts tonight. Bon chance Brossiot!

Yeah, I know, was just poking fun. But half of the purpose for such ratings is to predict how the prospects will turn out in the future.
He'll be fairly rated this off-season.

They all pretty much look the same to me. I went to school with all of them and Griffin is just bigger and has lighter coloured hair
