Dreadful from Matip on that Vardy goal. I'm not sure Klopp can afford to wait to work Van Dijk into the squad, could fall too far out of the top four race by the time he's ready.

I think Can should get more of the blame on that one. We want to play it out of the back, and he had acres if space to move into to receive that ball.

On replay yeah Can is pretty lazy there. Still not a good pass from Matip though.

I keep repeating myself, but Harry Maguire is freaking awesome. I struggle to think of many better CBs in the league right now.

Did not look good for Lukaku there, hopefully he's alright.

Replay after the game makes it look like maybe it hits the post... He should still know he was offside though

The commentators mentioned a couple of times that theres apparently a deal in place thats going to send him to Juventus.
I actually like Can on his day, when hes focused he brings a steel to the midfield and he has excellent passing vision but when, like today, hes loafing hes a liability.
Either way I'll take the 3 points.

Well that should have been a red for the tackle on De Bruyne, and he might be seriously hurt so maybe we have something to shake up the title race after all.

so stupid from Puncheon. Potentially two nasty injuries from that brainless tackle. Hopefully both are fine.

Well they just had video of De Bruyne walking, albeit assisted, so he might have avoided a serious injury. I imagine the retroactive ban is coming for Puncheon.

He got a yellow for that challenge though. I thought they couldn't change it of the ref had already dealt with It?

Yes you are right, forgot about that being the rule. Needs to be amended though if they aren't going to use VAR.

I don't know. I guess I'm not sure whether we need more second-guessing of the refs?
Did Jesus also go down today? Apparently he's out for two months and left on crutches?

VAR is inevitable I suppose so it's just a matter of time. If it's kept to simply offsides and challenges where red comes into play then I don't see the problem. As far as Jesus, well, as you can imagine there's been a plethora of "He will rise again, I've read the book" jokes, but it sounds like he's out for two months. City being City though, that probably means Alexis comes now. Arsenal at least have to be thinking they can get some value now rather than losing him on a free.
